  1. Nice work so far, I like the idea of giving the back area the look of the seat down.
  2. Thanks guys! I got some more done on the chassis yesterday and will get more bench time today, so I will try to get the pictures up later tonight or mid day tomorrow.
  3. First coats of primer. I actually shot the underside black yesterday, but no pictures yet. The upper floor pan (interior) will be metalizer. Once I get my dremel working, I have some corner seems inside that body that need to be addressed before I can paint it.
  4. For the Cobra Jet motor, I needed some headers. The ones from the Ford 427 Ford Parts pack were the right distance on each two outer cylinders, but needed to be widened in the middle, so I did so with some styrene strip. Stills needs primer finishing. Also more work done on the floor pan fabricated from sheet styrene. Possible seats, but I might fabricate bomber style seats as well.
  5. Wow, this is going to look great!
  6. Very nice rendition.
  7. Well, I am not a speed builder, but this is most of what I got done this year. I have also included a couple links to the builds A heavily modified customer C-cab, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55129&hl= A curbside commercial project Ash Wipers http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=62696&hl= and a small scale Mash 4077 Jeep with Diorama
  8. well, I think saying you are off to a good start would be an extreme understatement. nice work
  9. Tom, Those details are ust right, looks really good.;
  10. I like the color choice, looks really good
  11. Thanks so much man, I figured it had to be powders, but thought there may be something else. I just started using Vallejo powders recently, and really enjoy the results. I just have to get good at it! LOL
  12. OK, just how do you get the road grime in there? Mostly the whites etc.
  13. OK, back to bench on this one, I think I have the floor pan issue resolved. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/med_gallery_8985_914_513898.jpg http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/med_gallery_8985_914_664.jpg And I also got the kit windshield fram and glass cut down http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/med_gallery_8985_914_712360.jpg
  14. Maybe I missed it and maybe it is intentional, but every time I come back to look at updates on this, I hear the title sung to Elton John's Rocket Man.
  15. That is one very cool thing about our hobby. There are so many possible visions and uses for things! I would like to follow this one Tom, you have it under glass in trucks?
  16. Scratchbuilt to replicate a trailer I used to move soda and vending machines around. No solid axle, so the deck drops down to roll items straight onto the trailer. The deck does raise and lower. THe only things not scracth are the battery and the rims/tires. I did this about 12 years ago. Keep thinking I will do another, but never get around to it.
  17. While I admit I am impresssed with your scratch building skills, little things make it even more impresive to me, especially since I can not for the life of me figure out/master how it is done. On this piece for example, the coloring/weathering is fantastic! In all there is a LOT of cool things people are posting. TOO many to comment on each one. I applaud you all!
  18. That is very cool. Is that an arcylic metalic dry brushed over black, or just plain silver? Also, nice gauges etc.
  19. Yeah, govt./budgetary sense/(cents?) at work. LOL
  20. LOL, I learned the hard way sometime back about oven cleaner and it's weathernig affects on alluminium. Had a painted glasspack I had made, needed repainted, and well, let's just say that it would have been great for a midwest road driven grim chewed muffler. LOL
  21. Sorry, just a little confused. Wouldn't changing the graphics that many times that close together NOT be considerate of the finances?
  22. very cool!
  23. Maybe I missed it, what color were you thinking of using?
