Well done Elliot , great looking Vette ! This is actually my favorite Vette kit even tho' many don't care for it . I built the kit back in 70's and still have it as one of my survivors , I also have another NIB and plan on building it one day .

Well done Mario , I really really like that color ! As for the wheel arches . . . we all have similar problems , I also don't have the patience I used to have .

Who was building in the 60s?
TooOld replied to OldNYJim's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Not quite that far back , I started in the early 60's and was "allowed" to start painting my models by '62 . Definitely remember using only Pactra 'Namel in both the small bottles and spray cans . No primer with the spray cans , they went on very very smooth even for a 7-8 year old . As for metal finishes "Rub-N-Buff" was recommended by the magazines back then and my Mom used it on her ceramics so I definitely tried it on my models . The gold and silver looked great ! -
They're back now , seems to have been an issue with my hosting site .

1965 Shelby Ford Cobra - or maybe not …
TooOld replied to absmiami's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Blasphemy !! We only built "to customer order" and in 19 1/2 years we only did 4 or 5 Chevy motors , the vast majority were 427's and quite a few 351W's . -

Nope . Same wheelbase and track as original 427 S/C Cobras . -

I worked for EM from 1987 thru 2006 when the owners decided to retire , in 2007 the company was sold and moved from Florida to Texas . As far as I know EM is still selling replicas using our Gen IV designs , although the last I heard they have upgraded the drivetrain and are now selling a Gen V Cobra Replica . I've been away from that industry for many years and really don't have any more info than that . I have hundreds of photos from my time there but here a few , these are all from the early 2000's . -

I can tell you with 100% certainty that this was built using an Everett-Morrison Motorcars Cobra kit , there are at least a dozen areas shown in those photos that are unique the EM Cobras . I know because I was Chief Engineer and Shop Foreman at EM for nearly 20 years . I don't know the owner/builder but he made several changes/improvements to our kit resulting in a very convincing replica , still there are some of our parts used that were never seen on original Cobras . -
Such a clean looking build , beautifully done !

Sharp Impala Douglas ! Like the colors and it's a cool tribute to your own car .

That is really really nice , great save Jesse !

Great save Tom , the Mercurys are sharp looking cars ! Love that blue !

Thanks Chris ! Thanks very much Pierre that Daytona has always been one of my favorites too ! The Woody is a simple kit but really fun . . . I printed decals for the wood , lots of tiny ones on the sides but much easier than you'd think . Thanks Mike ! I started building those types many years ago and still enjoy them . I'm building a special display case for the Daytona .

Very nicely done Jeff ! Is this the Monogram kit ?

Very nicely done Craig , those are some beautiful builds ! -
That turned out super nice Joe ! Your additional details really helped the overall look . I had one of these kits (dark blue w/flames) but sold it . For some reason it just didn't look right to me , maybe because it was so much larger than other T-Buckets on my shelf . . . I probably should have given it a go .

Excellent work Greg ! That crated Jeep is pretty neat , I like unusual stuff like that .

The Camaro turned out great , and so did all of the rest ! Nice work Mike !
