  20. I built this back in 1986 using a Dukes Of Hazzard kit I found at a local K-Mart , I also bought a couple of cans of Testors spray paint and several small bottles of Testors enamel . With no other supplies available I ended up using balsa wood for the nose and wing and to fill the rear window , everything else was done just using stuff I had around the house . Back in '86 there were no aftermarket decals available so everything was hand painted . . . something I couldn't possibly do today . On Nov . 24 , 1970 Isaac set a 1 lap record of 201.104 during a test at Talladega with this car . A few months later at Bonneville , Isaac drove this car to 28 Land Speed Records , including 4 World Records . My build represents the way it was painted for the Bonneville trials with 1971 style numbers . The names on the stripe are the crew members that built the car and were added after it set the records , Harry Hyde personally painted the lightning bolt on the wing . Isaac was the 2nd driver to exceed 200 mph in a stock car on a closed course . Buddy Baker was the 1st . After sitting in a case for more than 30 years it was in need of some repairs and a good cleaning . Afterwards I took these new photos . Thanks for looking ! This is the Circle Track article and the only photos I had for reference .
