  1. Great ! More drooling on my keyboard. Looking forward to watching this one.
  2. If you buy "Easy Off " make sure it is the yellow can one. The blue can stuff does not work.
  3. Looks good. You can get rid of the ridge buy doing some careful wet sanding with wet or dry sandpaper. Just use a fine grit and watch your progress.
  4. That is really nice. I like the "forced perspective" of using large vehicles in the foreground.
  5. I just used "Easy Off" in the yellow can. Chrome was gone in less than 10 minutes. I am doing mine with rattle cans. For me, the larger scale models are better done with rattle cans than an airbrush unless you are doing some "trick" painting. Some will disagree and thats fine. To each his own. Still have not decided on a color yet but leaning towards o choice of 2.
  6. Only took a week ! Nice job. What she building next ?
  7. Oh boy, another build to follow. Grab a beer and pop the corn and sit back and relax. Looking forward to following this one.
  8. Looks good so far. Good luck in the contest.
  9. Very nice work ! Not long ago I built a Princeton for my BIL. Never again ! Way too many tiny parts for old eyes anymore.
  10. Very nice job !
  11. There is a section for "other" models. Don't have to be a car to be here.
  12. Some beautiful models there guys. They are truely drool worthy.
  13. Maybe. I am am saying maybe. An item called "static grass" that diorama people sometimes use could work. It will not be the right color and it may not take paint well I don't know. It does kind of stand up and would give you the depth your looking for. Again I say..... maybe.
  14. You can get the same effect with just a black wash or using the product called " The Detailer ".
  15. I believe these look strange with a wells cut out. If I recall correctly the tires ( axel ) are not really lined up with the opening. Aren't the rear wheels set back farther than the wheel wells in the rear ?
  16. Ah, now it makes sense.
  17. I remember them as full size cars myself. A friends parents had one back in the day and it was a barge.
  18. At the front is that round thing sticking up part of the trailer ? Almost looks like the car has a old style headlight mounted to it.
  19. Got some work done on the Shelby. Body in primer, wheels dechromed and primed and painted. Engine block built and painted. Some interior parts painted but still need to be toned down so they are not so shiny. Exhaust and brakes painted but not finished.
  20. Thats what jumped out on me, wire wheels and white walls.
  21. Cool ! The 4 notches look like a perfect place for anti-aircraft guns.
