Thanks guys. Yes I was going after a Gulf look but colors are not really correct. I just used what I had that would get me close.

Got this kit pretty cheap from ebay. Never was very fond of this car but thought I would build one just because it is a Shelby.

Rear window looks super as does everything else.

Found some time to work on this kit after putting up all the Christmas lights and decorations. There are a couple other Cobra builds going on around here now that are better than this old glue bomber can do but I won't let that stop me from gluing my fingers together or smearing some paint here and there. : ) Covered the dash with BMF and drilled out the gauges and glued some faces from behind. Then used some Krystal Klear to make the lens. Drilled a few more holes and used some stretched sprue to make some toggle switches. The body was cleaned up and primed and sprayed with Model Master Big Bad Blue. It was then masked and the stripe was painted with Duplicolor orange/red. Still needs to be cleared.

I think that was called "Swirladelic " or something like that. I think Henry Borger ( ? ) did an article in an old Car Model magazine.
