  1. I can relate to that ! The joys of model building. Sometimes it would seem that if it wasn't for bad luck we wouldn't have no luck. : ) Hang in there !
  2. Bill, I too have lost out on things by waiting the last one being a nice cabinet for my completed models. I now go by the old saying...... " The time to buy something is when you see it ." : )
  3. Very sharp.
  4. Thank you very much fellow modelers.
  5. Looks great !
  6. I like those crazy thing.
  7. Thanks Bill, I can hope ! : )
  8. Ya it is !
  9. Fellows, I can't tell you how good it makes an old "Glue Bomber" like myself to get so many good comments from people I feel are much more talented than I am. You guys keep me going and make me want to do better work. This kit was a challenge for me due to the quantity of tiny parts. Thank you all very much.
  10. After finishing the 1935 Mercedes I felt I needed something a bit more simple for my next build. Got a good deal on this kit on ebay . This kit looks to be very simple. No engine and not much interior detail. The body looks good to my eye. I wonder if this was ever a slot car body. I have a couple simple mods planned that should help it look a tad better.
  11. Finished this one up today. Not what I would normally build but have been wanting to do stuff out of my comfort zone lately. I have not built a classic style car in over 40 years so it was about time. This was a good kit but was a problem for me because of the many tiny pieces. Not the best job in the world but the best I could do with my limited talents. I could not get the hood to fit right to save my soul. Car was finished with all Duplicolor paints. Primer, red and clear. I wired the engine and added a piece of aluminum tubing to the exhaust pipe. The interior was done in ivory. Comment are always welcome pro or con. Thanks for looking.
  12. This one is finished. Photos will be in the under glass section soon if interested.
  13. If I understand your question I would use masking tape to mark the cut line and then use a Zona saw to do the actual cut going slow and easy. This is the way I do it. There may be other and better ways but this works for me. I'm sure others will come along with other methods. As mentioned above it would be helpful if you would post a photo of what type of cuts you want to make and have them marked out with a magic marker.
  14. Pat I used Duplicolor primer, paint and clear.
  15. Nice model. Love the paint.
  16. James Bond didn't have spinners that came out that far.
  17. I agree about the rear wheels but even the art work on the box makes them look that way although maybe not quite as bad.
  18. Looks darn good.
  19. The extra work you are doing is really going to make a difference.
  20. I really like what you did.
  21. Very nicely done.
