  1. You kind of have to wonder why they make some of these vehicles. It should cost no more to make a good looking car than it does to make an ugly one. No ?
  2. Here is a photo of the first go around with the putty and sanding. Not too bad for only the first application but another couple of rounds will be needed to get it to where I want it. Then I will have to work on the chassis so I can determine where to put the holes for the engine and roll bar.
  3. Good night Al. : ) Another very nice build. That color is perfect for that car.
  4. One of my favorite race cars.
  5. Ya Ray, the wheels maybe the best part of the kit. : )
  6. Thanks gentelmen. I started slinging some putty on it today. I'm going to need more. : )
  7. I actually like a couple of the cars on that list but then I like that Nash Metropolitan that is posted too !! The Juke should have been on that list. It is just plain stupid looking IMO. If we go back a bunch of years I think the King Midget would be on my list. A street legal lawn mower. : )
  8. You did a nice job on all these little kits. They look like a fun build that can be finished pretty quick.
  9. Your right, that does look like a head. Glad to have another project of yours to watch.
  10. Looking good ! Keep a goin'.
  11. Pretty cool .
  12. Looks very nice !
  13. I will be watching also. Good luck.
  14. Thanks so much gents.
  15. As was said, a lot of modifications would be needed if any of these kits are used. Would be a jumping off point at the very best.
  16. I think that may depend on how radical your paint job is. If you have not done it before I would start out with a simple 2 tone job or maybe just some stripes down the hood and truck and over the roof. Use good tape, good paint ( lacquer ) and have at it. You will need to then clear and possibly wet sand and polish if you want the paint to be smooth wihout a ridge. Someone else will come along to give more and better advise. Good luck and remember to post photos.
  17. I forgot about the Sunny kit. Here are photos of that body.
  18. Al, how the heck do you knock out so many nice looking models so quick ? Do you ever sleep ? : ) I bought a new Torino in 1973. You will recall that was the first year with the huge front bumper. It did not look as good as a 72. Mine was white and has the lazer stripe down the side. 351 engine. Black interior. Pretty nice car but had the face only a mother could love. The front bumper was a pretty good place to sit however. : )
  19. I think any of these kits "could" be a good starting point but as been said above you will need to do a bunch of modifing to pull it off.
