Walmart/Peterbilt WAVE
Bennyg replied to Fabrux's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
At the end of the day, we are on the way to great changes in cars and trucks. Hybrid power trains will be common in cars very soon. Aerodynamics is the other area where things are going to get more headway. Trucks will follow that trend as well. My wife and I are looking to replace her car in the next 6 months. The car we are looking at is 19% more fuel efficient than the series before it. That's such good gain in efficiency over 1 model cycle. The 19% efficiency was made up with better aerodynamics, cvt auto and direct injection. Ben -

Got weather being my problem too. All good. Ben -
Very cool project. Brought back a lot of great memories. I had the purple truck when I was a kid, it was 1/24 scale, my brothers had the green bike and the camaro that you're doing here. Cant remember other vehicles we had. Mum got it for me for Christmas, I think I was 8 years old. They were the coolest toys at the time. Cheers Ben

My Lonestar Failure! to Success!
Bennyg replied to Porscheman's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Don't give up. It looks great. Just have a break from it and come back to it. One of the best examples I've seen of that truck. I've built 2 of them, one out of the box and one converted to an Australian T904 Kenworth. Yours looks better than mine. I'm about to tackle a prostar after I try a tamiya laferrari. That's been a learning curve as I'm more use to building trucks. The last car I successfully finished was about 2 years ago, it was a tamiya Nissan 370z. Cheers. Ben -

Looking good. Ben -
Monogram ac mack bulldog tank truck, ultra bright chrome BMF. Also ordered a zvezda 1/43 mack from cars. I like Mack trucks in case you didn't notice. The only model of a mack I've never purchased is the premier 1907 mack which I keep an eye out for. That's my holy grail. Ben

How did I miss this one? Love it, very nice. Ben -
Godzilla (r32 Nissan gtr) got jeered by the crowd at Bathurst. A lot of people weren't happy with imports romping it in. I just love cars that go great. Don't care where they come from. Ben

2015 Ford Mustang Snap Kit as a giveaway at NAIAS
Bennyg replied to carsntrucks4you's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Hopefully the full detail kit looks good when it comes out. Hopefully they release it with an optional right hand drive dash or uk and Australian customers. That car is going to sell like hotcakes. Ben -
Thanks for your reply. I still intend to buy the a51 and LJX. Thanks Jürgen for your honest input about the cabs problems. I am so greatful to the original master maker and current caster as these trucks just don't exist anywhere else and they look fantastic. I love this forum and have learnt so much from it. Lets stay positive. Ben
