    I have used this machine, Friday as a matter of fact! it works nice. as Comp1839 said... aluminum MUST be hospital-clean! when you think it is clean, clean it some more! I have struck an arc on aluminum and it looked I had done it all my life, the next time I could not get anything right! it is a fickle beast!

    years ago, thom taylor did a sketch of a first gen bronco, on the ground, 2 wheel drive and chopped! I have just in the past few years begun to embrace the scout, now I love em! yours is too cool!

    love the term "fantasy suspension" I would be tempted to make it a 100" wheelbase. a 6 or 8 carbed pont / olds! love it!!!

    the only names I remember from the Street Rodder mag, Modelers Corner, were tim's toms, and I believe.. Mark Gustavson as a kid reading SR, I looked forward to each issue!

    I too, have that model! I too, have had it for 50 yrs! your looks way better than mine! 30 years ago I saw a convert for sale for 30 bucks, it was built and nasty, wish I had bought it!
