  1. I'd love to see someone offer a 69' Impala SS427. I think that car and the 70 Torino GT Fastback were two of the raciest looking bodies ever built out of Detroit.
  2. Thanks Mark! That definitely helps!
  3. Do any of you have a pet website you'd recommend that would have some ideas for stripes for my Titan? I'm kicking around a couple of colors and would like to look at some ideas and come up with something unusual.
  4. As many hours you have put into this car, I think a break now and then is well deserved! The amount of detail on your car is amazing, and I can see the planning (and imagination) you've put into it! PS I bet you'd get super motivated/detailed/talented if you work on it while you listen to "Royal Jam" by the Crusaders

    1963 Vette

Absolutely gorgeous car, and I really appreciate your eye for scale. Normally I dislike 22" (or some silly size) wheels on classics, but you really selected a great look. Also, I'm going to plagiarize your paint idea...love it! Joe

Very nice! I also picked up some tips on painting from you!
  7. I've been looking through quite a few threads to see if I can find some great ideas to assist me, myself, and I in assembling some great kits. I've been out of modeling for quite a while and am really impressed with some of the great tips I've found here! I'm all for test fitting, and I'm building a jig to help keep my rigs flat and square. I've seen some people say they put the front crossmember in and work their way back (gluing it between BOTH frames) OR some seem to say glue your all of your crossmembers into place on one half of the frame before gluing the other half of the frame into place. How do you build your kits?
  8. I thought you must've made a deal w/ someone; if you were THAT good, I think I'd have to do a hardcore search to see what all kits you'd made, because only a brain surgeon would be able to resurrect that mess!
  9. Cato, What do you do with the fabric swatches to create your own flocking? I'm looking at doing my first flocking experiment, and I'm open to a little extra elbow grease.
  10. That is a neat story. I'm glad for you that your dad was supportive of your hobby!
  11. Ive been a bass player for over 30 years, still loving it. Good song to learn, I cut my teeth on Geddy Lee's bass lines for most of the early albums, and that was primarily why I played a Rickenbacker 4001 for years. Enjoy that practice!
  12. Waiting on UPS to bring me my trailer kit, while I'm waiting I'm looking at doing something I think would be fun, mainly creating some custom art that I will turn into a mural for my trailer. If any of you have that kit and a tape measure handy, I'd be much obliged if I can get the dimensions of the side of the trailer? Thanks!
  13. Ah, I see! thanks for following up on that point, makes perfect sense. I'll check w/ Kinko's and see if this is anything they can do.
  14. Thanks for the feedback! I get your point about white background...my truck will be root beer brown, and I want to have my decal (just some text, really) in some sort of yelllow/orange accent color. Unfortunately, I only have access to a laser printer (black/white). I will talk to my local print shop to see if they can do this, but wouldn't I want to use a clear background? Thanks, Joe
  15. Hi everyone, I'm interested in creating some custom decals for a Titan 90 I'm getting ready to start. Since I'm somewhat computer savvy (and decidedly NOT an artist) I thought perhaps this might be a way of creating something personal and unique for my new Chevy. I've done a couple quick searches here but haven't seen anything that fit the bill. Does anyone have any pointers/suggestions how I could pull this off? Thanks, Joe
  16. Beautiful! Fuel altereds were my favorites. Definitely eye candy.
