Nature's cruel. Even the sweetest housecat will gleefully torture a small rodent or bird for hours. Eventually they eat most of them, but I've never understood the penchant for torture, and it's the only thing I don't like about cats. Lotta things I don't understand about humans either though, and humans supposedly have the power of reason and conscious compassion.

Research online is more effective if you know something about the subject you're researching first, as the top results may not always be accurate, and those who don't have some knowledge in the subject are at risk of accepting baloney for prime rib.

It's really not necessary to overthink and reinvent the wheel to get professional looking results. If you have a cheap digital caliper, you can measure the OD of any old wire you have (refer to the scale-accurate dimensions I posted above) and use what's the right size. Color it with silver sharpie, silver Rub n Buff, paint etc. OR...you can go to a hardware store and probably find something that will look right. I have multiple rolls of cheap, plated and tinned "tie wire" in my materials box. OR...you can go to a craft store and almost certainly find something that will look right (and while you're there, look at all the options for scale-correct plug wires that don't look like garden hose on a model engine). Even paperclips can be formed into great looking fuel line if they're the right OD. Or "music wire", like old guitar or piano strings. Some are harder to bend than others, but they make these magic finger-strength-multiplier tools called "needle nose pliers" that solve that problem, and they even sell a version with special tips in craft stores made especially to do nice clean radiused bends on wire.

Cool build. Good luck with the paint. Far as wheelbase goes...wheels belong in the center of wheel arches, period. Lotsa real car builders get it wrong, and it always looks ridiculous. Apparently the kit is flawed, as most of the builds of this and the coupe version have the wheels located as yours are. Fixing it isn't hard, and I assure you, it will make the first impression of the finished model...at least to anyone who actually knows much about real cars...a lot more attractive. Of all your reference photos, the green one is the only one that's even close to right. These two cars show where the wheels should be relative to the arches...dead center.

7-11 stock like Vienna sausages, every kind of chips known to man, coffee, candy, fizzy sugary drinks, beer, and brown bananas apparently don't disqualify an area of urban blight that's been abandoned by grocery stores from being a "food desert".

In my yard today: Luckily I just happened to be home this AM when the county code enforcement officer showed back up to count my cars again. Nice guy, and working with me as I find them off-property temporary homes. He's just doing his job, and he's not being a hind-end about it, so OK, and it's the first time in 10 years at this address there's been a problem. But why it's anyone's right to tell me how many vehicles I can have on my property, so long as they're not up on blocks with chickens living in them, is quite beyond my comprehension.

Pressure vessels, correctly engineered, built by good certified welders, and carefully inspected are more resistant to explosion.

There is indeed loads of GOOD info on YT, but to be able to winnow the wheat from the BS, a viewer needs to actually know a fair bit about the subject first...as is the case with ANY internet-sourced information. Unfortunately, too many people somehow believe that everything on the web is true and correct and swallow whole whatever some ignorant random rebleater posts, so we get a flood of instant "experts" who don't really have a clue. But they'll argue incessantly with people who do actually know. It's pretty funny, really.

Yeah, we have coyotes around here too. I don't see them often (only 2 daytime sightings in the yard since 1999), but occasionally hear them communicating at night.. I'm on a wooded lot, so the cats can go up trees to get away from 'em, but raccoons can climb almost as well as cats, and though 'coons usually won't go after a full grown cat, they will take kittens. And we have several big raccoons. I heard one of my feral kits screaming one night, went out to see what the h. was going on, but by the time I found her and chased Rocky off, there was barely enough left to bury.

But...but...but what about ? Anybody who doesn't get all his automotive expertise from watching a buncha morons do everything wrong on the web and take their word as gospel is just a loser dinosaur stuck in the printed-page past.

How do you do that? Try to kiss the thing? Trip and fall face-first on it? Try to use it for a comb?

6AN or 8AN aluminum hard line would be correct, depending on carb size and engine output primarily. That equates to 3/8" OD or 1/2" OD. In 1/25 scale, the actual diameter of scale-correct 3/8" line would be .015", actual diameter of scale-correct 1/2" line would be .020".
