Dean Jeffries' Mantaray. Resin repop of an old slot-car body, with correct resin wheels and tires to build a curbside. Some dimensional and proportion errors, kinda rough casting, but plenty close to start from. I've been looking for one of these for years, finally found one. What lotsa folks don't know is that the 289 Ford, Weber-equipped engine was a gift to Jeffries from Carrol Shelby, and the underpinnings are vintage Maserati formula car. Can't get much better pedigree than that.

Offerings to the model-car-paint gods are rarely as effective as practice and understanding what you're doing.

Finally scored a couple of grails. Dean Jeffries' Mantaray. Resin repop of an old slot-car body, with correct resin wheels and tires to build a curbside. Some dimensional and proportion errors, kinda rough casting, but plenty close to start from. I'm happy. And a 1/24 resin Morris Minor, a limited edition curbside kit from the Motor Museum in Miniature, in England. Also snagged a couple of F2/F3 cars from a period I'm particularly interested in. A Hasegawa 1/24 VW pickup followed them home, too.

"Prisoners of conscience", political prisoners, were the main focus of Amnesty International many years ago when a good friend worked for them.

The most expensive Roadrunner ever?
Ace-Garageguy replied to Mike 1017's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Lotsa shekels. I passed on a '68 convert a long time back, rode real hard and put up wet, for $500. Even if I'd just put it in storage, it would have easily beat most conventional investments. -
Now more than ever.

"Accomplished" is also an adjective meaning "expert, proficient, skilled"...and doesn't apply accurately to a high percentage of people.
