  1. Physics has pretty well proven that two physical objects can't occupy the same place at the same time, but many drivers have apparently never heard the news.
  2. Yup. And when I hear about folks who throw the leftover parts away when they finish a kit...
  3. Did you ever consider the profound effect the passage of time has on the passage of time, examined in the light of time as it passes, like when time passing actually becomes the passage of time and how amazingly profound that is?
  4. Best build I've ever seen of one of those. Most very excellent indeed.
  5. That would depend on whether it was necessary to perform the particular job...like technical writing for publication or patents or law firms...effectively.
  6. Fire an employee who refused to write in full "sentences" when required by the job, I would.
  7. Stuff like ears and noses and anything else that was peripherally connected to Ms. Piggy goes into that, but just think of it as rectangular sausage, slice it, fry it, and enjoy that spamilicious goodness.
  8. What I'm always kinda curious about is that at the same time we're seeing massive layoffs in the tech and other industries, and things like you describe, our great leaders are telling us how unemployment is at record lows and job creation is at an all time high. Who's zoomin' who?
  9. It seems like half of 'em can't read anyway, and the other half seem to get their tiny little rocks off bending things that say "do not bend" or playing kickball with anything marked "fragile".
  10. Two of anything is usually better than just one.
  11. That rarely happens for me. I'm usually bogged down trying to figure out how to accomplish what I want before going on to the next motion, and taking a few pix gives my tired old brain some time to process in the background. Usually I'll edit the photos I post way down to just the high points, with enough text so anyone who's interested can get what I'm doing, or ask for more in-depth info. I've found that the most value I get from my own WIPs is flaws that jump out in photos on a big screen that I'd somehow overlooked on the bench.
  12. Well water that smells like the neighbor's toilet can ruin your day; welcome to the joys of septic tanks.
  13. If you go to your own profile page, click on the "topics" you've started under "activity", a quick scroll will take you to the build thread you want...even after years. Another easy way is a google search with your screen name here and the title of the thread. That works pretty well too, if you can remember the thread title. But don't bother trying that with duckduck and some of the other second string search engines, as they're not really very good. Google tends to downrank threads that haven't been looked at for some time, so you'll get a lot of non-relevant results, especially as google gets dumber and dumber these days....AND it's often easier to find your old threads on google if you do an image search using the same terms (that works well for me anyway, as I instantly recognize my own photos).
  14. E.P. phone home...wait...something's wrong...what?
  15. Music of some genres is reputed to have calming effects on overly enthusiastic barking dogs.
  16. Never, ever assume... When quality isn't "Job One"... Mass Marketing 101: Some days be like...
  17. '70s music moves me as just as much now that I'm in my 70s.
  18. Thanks for your interest and comment. The Olds will definitely be the green that's on the hood, with red steel wheels and probably a dark red interior with white piping. The Chevy wants to be a gutted gasser and it hasn't decided on a color yet, but gray primer is quite likely, maybe with some gloss panels to look like it was assembled from junkyard sheetmetal.
  19. Thanks, and yes. It went to Arizona with my first load back in July of 2021.
