  2. I intend to build a variant of this Mustang.
  3. Thanks guys, very good tips. It will probably be Revell's Mustang engine. Now I just need a suitable transaxle.
  4. Is there a 1/24 scale model with a Ford 5.0 Coyote engine?
  5. I love the low profile tires. Did you make them to. They would look good on my "Big Red" Camaro.

  8. Hi, I am planning to build a 1/12 '57 Chevy Nascar. I have searched but can not find any decals. Has anyone made these? Roger
  9. I really like this build. You are getting there but I must say that you should move the front wheel openings a bit forward. The car looks very front heavy.
  10. I have been planning this build for a long time. I was thinking the Testors "Chezoom" would be a perfect donor for the front clip.
  11. Now I've seen it in real life. It's even nicer than the pictures show. Good work Torgny.

  14. Finally. Just paid $7 for a resin hood on Ebay. Should arrive next week.

  16. This is the kind of topics that makes a modeler happy.
  17. Yes Chuck, the wheels are from the Talladega. I will have to take better photos so that I can show the scratch built molded door panels and grille lamps as well as the detailed 428 engine.
  18. I made that conversion a few years ago.
  19. I already know that its only the dash that is from the Cougar, there is an full page article in the book "Boss 429 Performance Mustang Style" by Stephen B. Strange. The red car had the 429 SCJ engine and the blue car originally had the Boss 429 engine but was later fitted with the SCJ engine. The same car was also used in the television series "Dan August" from 1971 starring Burt Reynolds. What I can't find out is wich doorpanel to use. The standard or molded panels with wood inserts? The horse in the grille shall be placed in the center.
  20. I am thinking about building the Quarter Horse Mustang from 1970. I have pictures of the body so that is not a problem. I would like detailed reference pictures of the interior. Anyone?? Another possible project would be the mid engine Boss 429 from 1969. Roger
  21. I usually sprinkle dried rust that i make from steelwool over the wet paint. Have been doing it for many years. I accidentally made the rust this way once. I had some steelwool for rubbing plastic before painting. Another tip! After spilling some water over it I left it for a couple of weeks and Voila, there were real rust. I usually grind it a bit to make it finer.
  22. Nice work. I like the alternator bracket and wire looms. Small details that make a big difference.
