the hood will never be perfect but im just happy to have a superbird in 1/25 scale (i dont like 1/24 or i woulda bought the monogram bird.)

hopefully it never will be in the trash or destroyed.i finally got the hood to cooperate with an extension. either the body or hood was warped but i got it worked out so far. hopefully paint will be on the hood friday

Well thanks to GTX6970 and dimaxion I got 2 halves of a johan superbird body and combined them. they(it will be sitting on an AMT 69 gtx chassis and interior. the MPC 69 daytona i have it next to is its so called brother, i will be buying a a revell daytona and doing it up the same way as the blue daytona i have and it will replace its spot on the shelf. Both Daytonas and the bird are/will be light blue with a gray interior. Both will sit on daytona 500 wheels and hopefull both have 426 hemis.

in the time its taken you to build this engine ive built like 5 kits or so. Your doing awesome though show us what a chrysler engine looks like for real.

so i had a good birthday the 18th now my grandpas birthday is tomorrow so i bough a display case for it and ill give it to hime tomorrow after school.

I know its a new style a mix between city slicker/rich guy car/and hot rod.

all that grime and rust makes me sad. but nice build

i found a 65 riviera in my area for sale($3900) it was gonna be a rat rod, if i had the money id buy it up and restore it It has new floor boards and a running and driving 401 nailhead

i think if i left the headlights alone(stock coloration) and maybe a better color for the interior it would be rattyer.

there are different levels of ratrod, from baremetal to primered or flatblack sorry it doesnt have a chevy v8, it is lower than stock. the thing about gt40s is they are made of fiberglass and aluminum so they dont rust.

was suposed to be a rat rod i went a little too far with the red. But this is the styling i was looking for.

ooh the other one is getting testors paint it isnt gonna see any paint not made from plastic hobbies. other than the chewed up plastic i like the look.

Just a 1 day build from a crappy body and some other parts. It went back in the box after finishing it because i have no shelf space and its not my best. its also my first rat rod.

Finished it. The engine is taillight red the interior and side mirrors are sharpie red and the body stripe is from a thunderbolt. Not my best build but i think it looks like something a villain would drive in a tv show.

front tires from landy 68 dart back tires from amt snaptight 97 viper and wheels and hubcaps are both from revell 64 thunderbolt

yes the color was just the start its getting dogdish hub caps different exhasts and anything else i can find in my parts bin

Using my semi salvage ford gt body from my other gt project as the start for a ratty rat rod.

just like my diecast chardon cop car

well the body is coated in thick wall primer(problock) and the flat black to show where its lower i sanded most of it flat and will have to carve in the body lines again to save the original body for a ratrod or something. my brother wants the body to destroy it (hes a ford hating mopar nut). so the new body will be sapphire blue and the old body if ever save is gonna be flat black.
