Platerpants

Well im going to try just paint the trunk and blend it to the body. I also have the engine partially done couldnt find the right color so i came up with what was closest. The plate is what ive been calling my grandpa since i was a baby learning to talk.

well i was painting this today and it was going on all smooth and then all of the sudden a bug lands on the wet paint and then a glob of paint came out of the spray nozzle. im mad. Im gonna hafta strip the paint off tomorrow after school.

thats why im building one for his birthday

Its the old MPC tooling and its gonna be testors sapphire blue. stock engine and black interior.

Me and my grandpa are alot alike both of us are ford fans and our favorite colors are both blue. We both love fishing and old muscle cars, hes always wanted a 67 GTO in a sapphire or similar blue so im gonna build it and give it to him for his birthday on october 22 oh yah both our birthdays are in october but my birthday is the 18th. anyway im gonna make this look good for him.

well i think i will do a 25th scale. after i stash away a little money. i just bough a mpc 67 gto to build for my grandpas birthday in october. he has always wanted a 67 GTO in blue so thats what im doing.

glue it in after you put the body on frame. theres little tabs that stick out of the inner fenders thats where the radiator will sit against.

This is a curbside build. i took my first attempt at a 71 cuda from about 7 years ago and built it again. it has no engine because i stole it for a chevy. the wheels are superglued to the body because both axles are broke. the wheels are from the amt 1996 svt mustang. then i just added decals and a maisto viper spoiler and its done. sponsors include skull candy headphones mr gasket, Traxxas, Ace Welding, Coyote Auto Center, and Plymouth of course. The skull candy logo on the hood is hand painted. I did this in an hour and 38 minutes so its not a real show of my talents.

well i remembered i have a flikr account hopefully it works. The steering wheel is a custom one from a mustang i believe.

Finished it wow that was aquick build probably my fastest. great kit. I did leave the back bumper off i though it looked better with the rat scheme. it will be underglass as soon as my parents get back from vacation cuz they took the good cameras. But dang photo bucket wont upload.

I STARTED THE ENGINE YESTERDAY ITS GOLD. NO IDEA WHY I CHOSE GOLD FOR THE ENGINE BUT I DID. IM PRETTY SURE EVEN THOUGH THE KRYLON CAN SAID MATTE BLACK THAT ITS CLOSER TO GLOSS. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND MODEL IVE USED KRYLON ON, ALL THE OTHERS WERE TESTORS EXCLUDING A DIECASFT FORD TRUCK PAINTED TRACTOR SUPPLY COMPANY INTERNATIONAL RED FOR TRACTORS.

both custom vettes look great. im going with the road warrior/rat rod look. i painted the body krylon matte or semi gloss black, the wheels will be the same color and it will be topped off with red interior. going for another quick build if i can. oh and the guy i bought this off is at the cleveland ohio autorama every year. he sells alot of stuff and i think models max at 15 and diecast at 25 dollars. he s a huge dale earnheart fan so the have #3 kits and diecasts.

well after school turned into after work and its 8pm here so ill get pictures tomorrow build starts friday after school. yep hes also got a revell honda civic for 5 but im a honda hater

Got this from a friend at school for 5 bucks everything still in its package and the decals still look usable. im thinking about customizing it some. suggestions. Oh and the box is in great condition. ill get pictures after school.
