I'm finally back to making a topic. Here we have my project that i am almost done with, pretty much just need to make license plates and find a trailer so the 71 can to the 69 around. The 69 is a 572 ci drag truck with dual carbs and the 71 is just a stock 390 converted to 4x4. Also gotta put the shocks on.

Thanks ray, heres a little more on the pickups and a look at where the trailer currently stands. the igniton coil wire is actually connected to a coil now instead of just hanging out in the engine bay of the 69 its an older picture because the bumper door handles and mirrors were not on it either.

Ive been relatively quiet recently in terms of topics i am still building i just havent posted any recently, i know most my builds are nothing to get excited about but just know i will be returning to the forums with some posts. I just finished a snap 2014 corvette that i gotta post, been working on the moebius ford pickups they are going to be done very shortly, i have a tv show correct general lee in the works and hoping to do a gulf oil themed 56 ford victoria, also have a galaxy 5th wheel trailer in the works.

someone say camper? i shortened the camper base so it would fit in almost any bed without tailgate removal.

I used kens six in my 78 f250 it looks pretty good.

i myself am just glad there is an offering of this generation of ford.

With some slight modding and trimming you can do the amt 4x4 front suspension and crossmember. The axle though is from a resin kit The V8 also goes into the 69 pretty well too. Now keep in mind hazardous hacking and slashing is my specialty. plus the v8 is pretty much just the trans and block with heads from the 78 kit.

They are identical kits suspension and cab wise. The motor mounts are the same too. I havent had much time to play with mine though...

I am having the same issue being that northeast ohio is my home too... I want to paint my trucks but cant.

Just remember a pickup truck is more useful offroad and in tight spots. They have also saved a few big rigs stuck in snow. They all have a place and use though. And a cummins aint no car engine nor is a powerstroke or duramax well not sure on the dmax. Old semis were just big pickups. But neither amount to ships mine trucks or trains just sayin.
