Scale I Build

  1. Hello...again Anyone want to recomend a 63 Polara kit? Post or no post does not matter as long as it is a 2 door. I really enjoy these max wedge cars,is it called Pro-stock? But i would want to try build a more street friendly version,no excact replicas. Also, good tip on what donor is good for suspension/tub etc if not included in any resin kits. I`m quite new to resin stuff so i thought it would be okay to ask on here. Tommy.
  2. Not sure where to post, but check out these cool illustrations from this blog: http://ebodies.blogspot.no/ Maby some good ideas for a model kit?
  3. Well on lunch here figured I'd post some builds here I have a 71 Dodge Charger RT in pumpkin orange paint. Its going to be box stock but adding steellie body color painted wheels have a look.
  4. I dug this up from last year, it needs a little TLC but its technically done...so I'm posting it here.
  5. So, after almost 10 years of celibacy, I have decided it was time to get back and build a few models. A first I was thinking about some 50's winged or finned cruisers, but then I came across Truck drivin' song by Weird Al and that song got inside my head so deep that I decided to build a truck instead. For some time I was thinking about AMT's Diamond Reo, but it turned out that there are no photo-etched details for this set yet, and to be honest, the factory grille in this set is really terrible. And since CMT ( http://www.liaznavzdy.cz/nedtrans/ctm.php ) confirmed plans to create and release the details in the future, I decided to wait for them and select a different truck instead. After seeing Auburn and Cord from Lindberg, I was very skeptical, but it turned out the mold was done by a different company (IMC), and it looked pretty reasonable to build. (Afterwards I also learned that the Auburn and Cord aren't Lindberg molds either, but you know, releasing THOSE kits under your name still tells something about you as well). So L-700 it was. Gathering information about this car is a little tricky, because more than 80% of Google finds show a built model instead of the original car, and engine details are nearly impossible to find. And if you find some, they are dirty and rusty as hell, that you actually can't even tell what the original engine color was. But I want to build a truck that just came out of the factory. I also still don't have the room to set out all the accessories (mostly pistol and compressor), so I started by cutting out the pieces, understanding where and how they fit, and some sanding. And I also glued some components together and drilled a hole into the exhaust. And got pretty upset by the fuel tanks, because they don't fit together - because the bottom part does not go straight up, it is slowly expanding to the sides. I will have to do much more sanding to get that part straight.
  6. I'm new to this forum, i have previously been a member of the scaleautomag forum, i have enjoyed seeing the work of many talented modelers on this site and have decided to put a few of my builds here so you all can see a bit of my work, i will be posting my current in progress builds on this site soon and will be on this site often from now on. Here are a few of my 2012 builds:
  7. A lot of you probably use or have used them hair brushes with the plastic bristles. Next time you do, take a look at them. They are basically a bunch of shifter handles with ball knobs on 'em. I've used them once or twice in die cast. Let's see how it works for plastic.
  8. Hi buddies, here is my last built in 2011 - completed in November. My Dodge A-100 Delivery Van: It based on the old IMC-Kit and a Resinbody (i think you know it) from Jimmy Flintstone To this body i will say, that it fixed perfect! The quality was really good and so i had only cut a little bit on the front and backframe. Also the windows and Doorpanels fixed perfect. Well done Jimmy! That was a easy and funny built. Enought of words, here are some pics - enjoy it ...more coming up... ... ...for a look inside the van...
  9. All black vehicles. Black tint, trim, windows, lights and paint. Anyone ever do it? Let's see 'em!!
  10. The Cuda I bought after my house burned down when I was 18. It is currently under construction, it's about 3 years old. The Super Bee was an unpainted glue bomb I recently salvaged. Suprisingly it came apart clean with no breaks. It now has more detail than in the pictures. I'll get up new pics when they're done. Thanks for looking.
