First off, I'd like to thank Michelle for printing the kit out for me. It came out looking pretty good. We've been talking a bit and there are a few down sides to be aware of with the 3d printed kits. Most notably, the fit. I've noticed these kits are a bit thicker than normal plastic kits and it causes some fit issues for the hood and bumpers. The process of creating the 3d prints can also cause warping of the bodies or for them to be slightly off. She ran into another problem with another kit I got from her. It was too big to print all at once, so it had to be printed in two pieces. This led to some problems with fit as well. I've also noticed that they weigh quite a bit more than regular plastic models and that weight can make gluing some pieces down rather hard. The window templates also seem to be slightly larger than the windows, so also be aware of that. The last thing is the underside of the cars. The chassis lack a lot of detail and can come with different parts, or lack of parts. This one had a nicer chassis, but in two parts. They didn't go on as one would think and the exhaust that came with it may as well not have. I should have taken a pick, but the underside isn't set up flat. I had to mess with things to get the tires in the wheel wells correctly. Also, remember that there is no directions for how to put these together, so you really need to know what you're doing to get them looking right. They are very challenging, but at the same time, where are you going to find another 68 Javelin kit? SAM_2073 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_2074 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

Here is a start of another 3d printed Fx Holden it’s going to be built as a mild 60s custom it’s only in paint at the moment as I have to print the chassis, wheels and interior up. I’ve modified the file a bit so it has a front roll pan and I’ll make a custom tube grill for it. The paint is SMS paints Spearmint green with there pearl white on the roof. It is so good being able to build these golden Holdens in 25th scale. My inspirations for these builds are all real shoe cars from the 60s to the early 70s which this obsession of aussie mild customs comes from my pops old magazines he gave to me as a kid.

Here is my completed 1948 FX Holden Gasser. It is mostly 3d resin printed by me, the only thing that wasn’t printed are the wheels and tyres. The front wheels are made to resemble very Rare John English mag wheels from the 60s in Australia. It is painted in SMS pearl white and Clear green over the top of it. Overall as my real first attempt at a 3d printed model there is much more to learn. The motor is a bare bones Holden 179 with a fuel injection manifold to resemble an alcohol powered car.

Here’s another one of my 3d printed builds. The car in question will be an Holden LJ Torana funny car from way back in the early 70s. It was powered at first by a blown Small Block and then powered by a nitro blown Big Block Chev which I believe came out of a race boat. The car has been on a few covers of the Australian hotrod magazines throughout that time period due to its fiery burnouts. the picture of it roofless happened only because the roof caved in at the start line at Castlereagh drag strip. So the crew actually cut the roof of and just went full send with it. Enough of the cars history it time to show the beginning mock-ups for it. I am using a 3d printed Logge chassis which is incorrect for it as it ran I believe a Don Hardy style chassis but I’m not really for accuracy. The body has been modified by me a fair bit on tinkercad. The blower hat is temporary. The colours will be SMS paints mainly purple and orange flames. But that’s it for now stay tuned for more.

Hi, I have several Honda Civic touring cars I would like to build and detail. They are all curbside kits though. More specifically I need the EG Civic, 5th generation, 1991-1995 version. I know of several places that sell the engines for these kits, but I can't find anyone that makes a whole engine bay kit. Do any of you know of someone that makes this?

Its gonna be almost a full kit Interior, glass, lenses, modernized late model 900 wheels and a simple pan chassis for cost reasons, being its my first im going to keep them curbside after that possibly do roller style casts. The cars will be aesthetically updated since factory isnt something i care much for. If this sells well the next build will be a 87/88 B2200 Mazda Truck and following that a Volkswagon SP2 thats more or less going to be designed to fit the Tamiya VW bug and the third release if all goes well a 80s Eldorado convertible/Riviera convertible(maybe).
