Here’s the International Scout II by AMT that I finally finished. This one is from the older ERTL-era issue. It’s painted in Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red with various Krylon sprays for the interior. For whatever reason, I struggled big time with the paint finish on this build - I ended up stripping it twice, I cracked the body in two places, and then the final clear coat bubbled at the front driver’s side fender. I decided to let it go and finish it since I was getting burnt out on it. That fender looks worse in person but the rest of the paint turned out great! The kit itself is pretty simple but it fits together great and there are no warping issues. The mirrors that came with the kit were misshaped blobs, so I used a set from a Mobius Ford.

I know what I'm going to build, now, Guys... An International Prostar with a race trailer to haul...Y'all know the one, and you know what color it's going to be, too.... It just came to me that that is what I should be doing... Provided I still remember how to build a model, anyway... ? And the race trailer will be similar to this one.... Thanks to Dustin (Fieldguy06) for the suggestion...

I built this truck in the late 90's while out on workmens comp with a back injury. All told I think I built three or four tractors and maybe six trailers. I still have them but they are all in need of some sort of repairs or in need of a total rebuild. The model is basically box stock except for the headache rack from Rick Mark. And the model is lightly weathered. The Pick up is a modified Revell snap kit with the Utility body and top from Moelhaus ! Comments and criticisms are welcome. Be Well Gator

I have this one started now but it's going rather slow. The cab is a 1/16 Ertl International diecast cab from the 70's. The trailer is a Wyanndott pressed steel trailer for the early 50's. As you can see the cab has been well played with a painted several times. Here is the cab cleaned up and shown with the tailer as found.

I got this truck from my dad. It did have dual rear axles, and I removed one, moved the remaining one up to a point central to the two and set it there. I lengthened the driveshaft and beefed up the frame a bit. I added Evergreen square tube to the rear top part of the frame, after removing the big rig trailer hauling apparatus thing (you might know what I mean). The bed is from some tandem trailer, cut a bit. I added a CB radio with antenna, blacked out the grille to give it a bit of a newer look (plasticky, more like) and weathered the whole thing with rust powder underneath and black wash on EVERYTHING except for the front windshield. Bumper is currently AWOL, but I cut it so it's only as wide as the grill. This was fully unpainted when I got it. All baby blue and black. Now it's all Farmall Red and black! Actually, this is a perfect match for Farmall paint. We got it to repaint our Farmalls, a Cub with a PTO and dually rear wheels, an A (which we sold) and an H which hasn't been repainted yet because it runs terribly and is awaiting restoration.

Hi Everyone, Last September I took a brief vacation to British Columbia and discovered some nice old trucks along the way, so took some photos / video and made up a youtube video of my finds. Mostly construction / excavation dump trucks, but also spotted an Autocar ! Haven't gotten around to building any trucks lately, but hope to get to a few this year. Hope you enjoy and maybe a little inspiration for a future build, Felix
