Scale I Build

  1. This is the first car in my Tribute To Paul Walker series which will include the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota Supra & Nissan Skyline. Enjoy, Adam
  2. I've had this in my stash for awhile and decided to build it before anything happened to it. I got the kit because I thought it was a cool looking car. For a Japanese kit, the model went together pretty well. I don't have any real complaints against it other than being molded in orange and black. The kit also comes with a lot of decals which is nice. 3. So I have been out of the car model game for quite some time but figure it is time to get back into the swing of things. It has been about 6 or 7 years since I have done anything car related. Figured I would start out simple with an OOTB build and I am a pretty big fan of the VR4 so I figured - go for it. I started a while back but did not take any photos right from the beginning but here is where I am at Interior and bottom are pretty much done. I have a thing for matte cars so doing this one in a flat white as I like the contrast of the white and black. Just finishing off some detailing and should have it all together in a few days. I have enjoyed putting this one together and it feels good to get back into things. I am still waiting for some paints and tools to arrive but hope to have them within a few weeks. I have a few others builds that I will begin right quick here as well.
  4. Hi everyone! So, I've been very out of the loop in the modelling world. But now that I finally have a dedicated model desk again, which is quite an upgrade from any of my prior desks... It's time to get back at it. So, my first car (my real one) was sadly sent to the graveyard in the sky. In scrap I was given £22 - just enough for a model kit. I wanted something that I could have forever in memory of it. So, I went to the LHS and picked up Tamiya's Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI kit. Now, I'm no stranger to this kit as some who remember me may know... But I've decided this time to do a different build on it. I'm going to replicate the Mine's Evo, which some of you may know from Gran Turismo. Pics in the next post.
  5. Here's the Aoshima Mitsubishi Evo X, I've been working on for about a month. This is my first airbrush paint job and I wish I'd taken the plunge, sooner. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Box stock, except for the seatbelt clasps and roof decal. I know most of you prefer American iron, but it was a good kit to build my airbrush skills. Anyway, I hope you like it all the same. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
  6. I just bought myself an airbrush, so after years of rattle-can painting, I'm hoping the paint comes out well on this. This is a nice kit. Everything fits and the mould seams on the body are virtually invisible. So, here's the paint on the body. I decanted from a rattle can and got messy doing so. Then I realised that spraying into the can lid, was a better idea than trying to spray into a little bottle! You live n learn... I'm very pleased with the results. Hardly any orange peel!
  7. Hi, this is my rebuild of a Lancer Evo VI
  8. Hey guys! This is my first post in under glass even though i've been looking this site almost a year ago. The number of things I leaned is incredible! So Here it is,The Fujimi Lancer Evolution 5 1998. Build OOB,with white rims and flat black wing. The color is Tamiya's brilliant orange. Pictures were taken from my friends Iphone, but i swear ill get some better ones for the upcoming builds Hope The pictures will show up,if so,enjoy
