And thus the reason why we know there will never be time travelers from the future... we would've bumped into them by now! :D

How can you be so sure?? Maybe they are here among us but they do not want to show up in order not to distort the space-time continuum

Did any one see Marty Mcfly cruising across Hill Valley in his Delorean?

When I saw the title, I thought you had just woke up from a long long sleep lol

Does Hill Valley exist?

Always fun to see what was once thought to be the future and then it never happened and the future we got is completely different. One can wonder how different our future will be from what we expect it to be.

Well, no body could predict the humanity to degenerate to the level where to have Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber considered as celeberities.

Used to LOVE watching the "Jetsons" when I was a kid, especially George's "car".

Also, my Dad would take me to car shows, and I would see bubble-top cars like "Predicta", "Futurista", the Batmobile, etc.

Fully expected to be riding around in one of those once I reached adulthood (notice that I didn't say driving - expected the car to be fully automated and drive itself).

Instead, we have mostly the same old boring cars these days, unless you can afford a Bugatti Veyron....

But did anyone predict that you can carry almost all of the worlds encycopledias and instant info about almost anything togheter with a photocamera, moviecamera and possiblities to have around the globe contact at an instant in something so small that it fits in your pocket?

I don't remember anybody predicting that. And I'm still blown away by it. In some ways it's much better and more useful than the other things they predicting back in the day.

But the most important things they failed to predict are how ugly and boring car designs are going to be in the 21st century, and that spandex is not the end of the story, rather only the beginning.

I see there's supposed to be a flying car available by next year. I think it was a Swedish company?

Who's gonna know how to drive/fly it? And who's gonna teach you? Half the people on the roads today can't drive safely and we're going to make a flying car available?!!

I do also think that flying cars will be a disaster.

What about the flying car made by one Dr. Moller (or something like that)?

Remember seeing ads for it in a mailorder gadgetmagazine in the 90s and he was also on Discovery Channels Extreme Machines program in the late 90s talking about his soon to be available flying car.

The magazine used to come in the mail a few times a year back then and it was always loaded with cool gadgets, many of a very james-bond-like type like spycameras andx-ray vision glasses.
