Ken Gilkeson Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 after a couple of weeks calling this one done. built out of the box except for the diamond reo sleeper and the rog 359 hubcaps. a few parts box extras, this was built along the lines of old peterbilt advertising with the whitewalls etc.
Petetrucker07 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 She looks perty darned good. Very nice work.
Old Buckaroo Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 That is one sharp looking truck. Makes me think of a "Owner Operator" magazine feature around 1977
trick my mixer Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 You are right Sean on the 1977 " Owner Operator " I know exactly which one you are talking about. Nice touch with the opening doors...........
tbill Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 fantastic looking rig, and I must admit, the white walls are growing on me
Chuck Most Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I don't know about the Owner Operator feature, but it reminds me of one Peterbilt used in several print ads... I like Ken's better, though.
asfastasu Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) Nice build!!! I`ve been looking at all your posts and you are quite talented!! I`ve been around trucks for all of my 35 years and I have to say this is the first time I ever saw a 1:1 w/whitewalls. Was this a reality or just a one off for the advertisement? Tyrone Malone's trucks were seen sporting whitewalls before he had his name put on them. ( pre Bandag days ?)
