Drake69 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) Just finished this one.... Items different from the kit: 1: Self-printed decals - all "JP" decals came from pictures on the web. 2: Spot lamps - dug out of parts bin. 3: CB radio/Firestik II - parts bin. 4: Seat belts - cloth ribbon and PE. 5: Medikit - balsa wood glued together with sheet styrene, then painted blue with medical logo decal. 6: Jerry can - from another Jeep model kit. A nice kit overall, but it really shines when the builder takes the time to add detailed items to it. I even thought about making my own "Hi-Lift" offroad jack and plate attachment to it, but decided to keep it like this. Thanks for looking! Edited April 9, 2015 by Drake69
slusher Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Great build Allen. Nice touch on the decals and first aid kit. Very creative...
Drake69 Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 I've got another Rubicon planned, this on being the Snap Together kit. I'll be looking at doing a "distressed" JP Jeep (read as "raptor thrashed"), either a tour ride or some other utility vehicle. Maybe even a paddock Jeep for "raptor feeding" that got a little too close to the animals... heh heh.
Bugatti Fan Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) Allen, I cannot open any of your pictures on my tablet. Any chance of reloading as jpegs directly? I know this is an old thread but hope instigator sees this post. Edited February 26, 2022 by Bugatti Fan 1
