Last April I retired from working 45 years as an Architect. So far this year I have built 4 car modes and 1 plane model since I stopped building models in 1966. Wow, the quality of these models sure have changed for the better since 1966, plus there are so many after market detailing options available.

Being an Architect provides the perfect skill sets (patience and constructing building models) for building models.

My latest car model is Triumpeter's Ford GT 40 Mark II in 1:12 scale. I look forward to sharing tip and tricks on the board.

I know what you mean. Last evening had some really nasty weather with a huge tornado that leveled a small town west of where I live.

Welcome to the forum, John. I'm a 6 year retired Structural Engineer and I'm really enjoying being back into modeling and not berated by clients. They are what put me over the top and got me retired a couple years early. Now I just do whatever I want whenever I want.

Those are some good looking models.. will be looking forward to seeing more.

Welcome. And if you don't know already, GTR Auto Modelers meets the first Saturday of the Month in Crystal Lake and C.A.R.S. in Miniature the second Saturday at the same location.
