k.blackwell Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Second build in my "cars I'll never own" collection. Thanks for looking
Mike_G Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Good job on one of the sexiest cars ever- the wheels are especially nice
vintagercr Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Very nice! I always thought this was their most beautiful model.
Monty Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) Good job on one of the sexiest cars ever- the wheels are especially nice I agree. I love the 1:1 car, but I'm not familiar with the kit. From what I can see of yours, it turned out very well. Who makes it and are there any other features we could see? (engine, chassis, interior, etc) Edited April 29, 2015 by Monty
Reeves Racing Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I have this kit on deck myself. Nice build. Those are some sticky tires....
kratvmnd Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Nicely done. And I love the blonde in the background...
k.blackwell Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) I agree. I love the 1:1 car, but I'm not familiar with the kit. From what I can see of yours, it turned out very well. Who makes it and are there any other features we could see? (engine, chassis, interior, etc) It's a Hasegawa kit I got off of Amazon. The kit goes together very well, the only problem I had was with the side vents near the door windows. The way they are molded on the tree makes them virtually impossible to remove. The side vents (rocker panels) need to be attached and filled before paint. I didn't put these on as I like the looks without them. It's a "curbside" kit. The engine cannot be seen under the rear hatch. So it's really up to you as to how much you detail it. Edited May 3, 2015 by k.blackwell
engmecwilson Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Very nice build, Keith.....I am building the ESCI one....the difference is rear cowl is opened but engine detail is not so good. Mine is being painted lime green from Kawasaki
