Well something must have got lost in quotation!

Luis - I distinctly remember adding that I really like what you have done with this kit.  You've massaged a ton of little stuff out of the model, your hard work shows.  I'm highly impressed with te panel fit and finish from top to bottom, it's first rate modern Street Rod quality.

Bill didn't mention another popular '50's / '60's treatment to the top inserts.  Many Hot Rodders / Customizers upholstered the insert with the same pattern as the interior, seats and door panels. I've seen rollsand pleats, diamond tuck to name a few.  Most later Street Rods had the top filled.  Whatever way you go I'm sure it's going to look good!

Hi Skip !!!

Thank you very much for your comments, I really appreciate your advice !!!

I have done the best I can to make the kit look nice and I am really happy with the results.

I was working on the engine wiring yesterday so hopefully I will add more progress later this week.

Love the details!! Where did you get the brake rotor and calipers from? Thanks Jeff Marsh.

Hi Jeff,

The brake rotors came with a Fujimi wheel & tire set I bought a few years ago at a local hobby shop.

I don’t remember the kit set part number but if I remember well those kits had the same brake pats tree.

The one in the link below is not available but you can use it for reference.

Just a small update on the progress.

At the beginning of the build I wanted to get it low with just a few minor adjustments to the suspension, using a small set of custom rims but after a few mock ups I decided to follow the advice of my good friend “Mad Slammer” and use the wheels and tires you see below. I have a few other options that can bring it low to the ground but the wheels are too small and don’t look right. I am really happy with the stance and the look so now I will move on to painting when the weather gets better.

You can also see some assembly on the engine, getting it ready for a few plumbing & wiring details.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

I like it just fine and yois looking really good. Love the wheels and stance can't go wrong with those wheels. The stance is great for the style your building, IMO.

I totally agree! This is looking great!

Well... It has been a year since my last progress post on this project...

Had to put the hobby on hold for some time again, but last weekend I was able to get some paint on it so I just wanted to share some pics with you.

The color is Teal Marble (nail lacquer) from sinful colors.

I will take better pics outside soon to get a better shade of the color.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking!!!

First, I hope all is well for everyone in the forum and their families.

It has been 4 years since I last updated this post. This project is still alive, but I decided to put it in a box after an accident with the paint job.

I have been around a couple of times on the forum these years and hopefully will be back more often.  Is great to see the outstanding amount of craftsmanship and so many beautiful models built... It will definitely take me a long time to get up to date...

Soon I will be sharing a few projects I have been working on for these past 4 years. Haven't finish anything yet but...I am getting there...

Thank you all for your contribution to this forum and for keeping it alive...
