slider51 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 As I said in my introduction I lost my brother last summer and inhereted is model collection. In that collection I found 5 WIP's.I finished 2 of the WIP's and that is what got me back in the hobby! So I figured my first post should be one of my brothers WIP's that I finished. All I did was paint the window trim and mount body to the chasis. The rest was his work!
Lovefordgalaxie Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 The stance and paint look great. Have you tried foiling? Foiled or not, I loved it!!
slider51 Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 No I haven't yet!Didn't know it existed until I found this forum a couple months ago.I am planning on trying it but have to order it online. How many kits does one packet of BMF do?
Dominik Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Hi Don, one of my favorite cars all time - love it! All over, it Looks good to me. Red/White is very nice. Whats about Pictures from the engine? i agree with the trim. try BMF and you see, its amazing. sure, needs more work to handle it, but the result is it worth.

Depends on the cars. If you are doing land barges with acres of chrome like is, you will use more. Nice 58.

I foiled a '58 Impala and only could use the rest to foil a '57 Ford Custom. I've seen guys to foil three cars (big full of chrome cars) with one sheet, but never could do it. Soo... I usually foil two cars if I'm careful when cutting the foil from the sheet. If not... Well, you got the picture. Specially now, that you are learning how to do it, don't try to save foil. Don't be afraid of peeling off foil from the car (if the result didn't get as nice as you wanted) and redoing the job. Also remember of using a new fresh blade. Trying to save on blades will ruin your foiling.
