Petetrucker07 Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Here he is, our first born, baby boy Traice. My mom bought him his first truck already, a 1/32 New Ray KW double dump truck. He weighed 4 lbs 11 oz, born a gearhead with numbers like that. He arrived a bit early, but that's just fine. I'm excited.

thatz4u Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Having been there & done that, here's a little free advise. Enjoy every day with him, cause one day you'll be finishing a model, & he will ask for the keys for the truck ! Have fun
Badluck 13 Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Congratulations Clayton!!!! and welcome to the world Traice and here's to the best of everything to your family.

Old Buckaroo Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Congratulations Clayton - That is just awesome. I hope "Momma" is doing well. Is the baby room ready ? You will be wishing "Hobby Lobby" carried diapers so you can use those 40 % coupons ! As Jim said they do grow up fast .
fantacmet Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Awesome. My oldest was a little early, and was a lightweight too. With 4.11 gears though he can really get lost.(Yeah shameless beverly hillbillies plug). This your first one?
Petetrucker07 Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 Thanks everyone, I really the wife and I really appreciate the support. She really enjoys reading your comments. She your all a great group of guys. This our first. So I'm gonna do my best to not be over bearing or over cautious. My step dad is already lookin for his first Jr dragster. I really hope I can get interested in building models, cars or trucks doesn't matter. I'm gonna pick up a few (read too many) snappers for him. I'm gonna have a blast with him. I'm not gonna let driving get in the way of spending with him, as much as possible. Take better care of myself, so I'm here for him as long as possible. My promise my wife and him is to be the best father and husband from here on out. Be part of his life and be there whenever for him. Be the best support I can be for my wife. The models, glue, paint, and bench is always there. There is no time limit, get it done when I can. Again, THANK YOU!
fantacmet Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Best way to get them in is don't start buying it all up for them. Let them watch and dream and tell them no for a couple of years and then for christmas, BOOM, and let it go from there. Worked like a charm on both of mine.
Superpeterbilt Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Congratulations Clayton. Welcome to farther hood. It's what lifes' all about.
hooknladderno1 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Clayton, Congratulations! A word of advice - let the nurses at the hospital show you how to change his diaper and give him a bath. As both a father and a nurse who has worked in the nursery - new Moms love a Dad who has mastered those skills! It also helps you bond with him! Enjoy this new chapter in your life! David
Petetrucker07 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Thanks Terry Thanks again Micheal. Thanks for the tip David. That's exactly what I'm doin. I'm letting the nurses show me how, then I make sure they watch as I do it.
