Kenny B Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Congratulations to you and your wife. A wonderful bundle of joy I bet. All the best. Ken.
Petetrucker07 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Thanks guys. We really do appreciate the well wishes. He was born about 3 weeks early. He's such a tough little guy, all his vitals and stuff we're great. He didn't have to go to the critical care unit. I guess babies that early usually do. So I think he's gonna be strong one. He's really quiet, shots don't bother him, needing a diaper change doesn't bother him. The cold does bother him a little, but when your used to a constant 98 or 99 degrees, the cooler air would bother me too. Mama's up and about now, she's doin great. We'll be going home Friday afternoon.
1930fordpickup Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 No kids myself but an uncle and great uncle more than a few times. Enjoy him, you will be surprised how he will change your life.
cowboy rich Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Clayton I just saw the news congrats!! Great looking little boy. Hope all is well and you were able to get some off time with him and your wife, he will be in truck with you in no time I'm sure. Rich
Petetrucker07 Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 Thanks guys. We get to go home today. I've off all week stayed here at the hospital with both of them. I'm takin monday off as well to get mama settled in at home. Can't wait to see what this chapter of life will bring, and in no hurry.
Jim B Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Enjoy each stage, Clayton. They all have their fun times, trials, & tribulations. This stage is mostly eat, poop, sleep; and not necessarily in that order. They can't see very far, and they can't hear very well. In about three months when his brain is finally fully developed, he'll be a completely different baby. It's like turning on a light switch. All of a sudden he'll be able to interact with you, and laugh; it's really incredible. You'll see. If I may make a recommendation: get a copy of "The Happiest Baby on the Block" by Dr. Harvey Karp. You will NOT regret that purchase. Edited May 30, 2015 by Jim B
Petetrucker07 Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Thanks Jim. I'll check that out. I'm thankful for these smart phones. We don't have to drag a camera around with us. Sure makes things easier in that way. I just gotta get a bigger memory card now for the wife and I. Edited June 11, 2015 by Petetrucker07

Petetrucker07 Posted June 11, 2015 Author Posted June 11, 2015 Thanks guys. He had a check up this week and the Dr said he was perfect. My wife got a little infection. She doing much better now. Seems like her healing process is back on track.
stavanzer Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Was he born on the 26th or 27th? If it was the 26th, Great! That's John Wayne's & Hank Williams Birthdays. (and mine) The 27th works just as well. Adam Corolla & Jeremy Mayfield of NASCAR were born on the 27th. My youngest just finished his freshman year in College. I still remember holding him as you do your son. Way to go! You'll like being his Dad. (at least MOST of the time.....)
Petetrucker07 Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 The 26th, That's awesome he has the same B-day as the Duke and Hank Sr. It's an awesome feeling holding him. I'm very happy. Thank you.
