Brizio Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Some small progress, added few rivets, and drilled out some holes on the chassis.
Mooneyzs Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Fabrizio.... This is such a cool build. I see this coming together now. At first I was having trouble figuring out what it was until you told us then I had to look that tractor up and still didn't get vision until now. You are reminding me a lot of John Teresi who can look a pic and create something to look just like a picture. You are an artist and have some extreme talent. I love your work. I am still blown away at the fact you are making this out of paper products... LMAO. Again Awesome Job buddy and I can't wait until your next update.

I know it is kind of difficult to understand what it is, also because I'm building it without plans, what is on my mind goes to this build. The stock tractor has a straight frame, mine is all curved, because the idea is to have the tractor do a wheelie, I think it will help to give to the final scene a "movement". I like tractors, above all those old American tractor with the two wheels almost attached in the front, in Europe, or at least in Italy they never made them so. Only tractor with wide front axle. Plus I think a narrow front axle I think it looks more cartoonish. Here a picture with the tractor that inspired me and I'm trying to build.
Brizio Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 The steering mount and engine crank ready for primer.
Brizio Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 Tires... The front one are done, ready for primer, the back one need the "tread".
philo426 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 They are really off center so it would wobble like crazy!
olsbooks Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) What is really sad is that my best efforts to make something perfectly round come out like this. Maybe a rethink is in order. Maybe if I tried to be off center and "animated" like these, they would come out centered. FANTASTIC build. Nice to see something like this actually built instead of just pictures. VERY original. I am real curious to see if it will have eyes or a face on it. Kind of reminds me of OLD SCHOOL cartoon art when it was done with pencils and paint. Love it! Peace. Edited June 7, 2015 by olsbooks
Brizio Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 Wild ! Thank you Ray! They are really off center so it would wobble like crazy! Yep, that's the point.

Thank you Jesse, You should try to make a catroonish tire and see if it came out centered... I will put eyes on the farmer that will drive the tractor. Here some progress, the floor pan, steering column and gear stick will be added to it later. Added some detail on the rear end, and also a belt pulley on the side.
