chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I'll start: whilst driving through Waterville (a rather large city), I saw a VCR in a cardboard box on the curb. The box said "make an offer" on it.
Tom Geiger Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) whilst driving through Waterville (a rather large city) You must live in the sticks! One time I saw a nice little chest of drawers out at the curb for garbage. I stopped and had loaded it in the back of my Nissan Stanza hatchback when some old broad came storming out of the house, asking me how much I wanted to pay for it. I said, "Hey it was out for trash..." She agreed, but picked up two drawers and said she wanted $20 for the drawers. I declined and she walked back to the house with the drawers. I was so mad that I drove off with the chest minus two drawers. I had no idea what to do with it! The next week I drive past the same house and there are the two drawers out for trash. I stopped, grabbed them quick and drove off! I still have that chest! So a few months later on another road, there are bales of National Geographic Magazine at the curb. I stop and I'm putting them in the same hatchback and a lady comes running out. I'm thinking, "Not again!" but her need is quite different. She has a whole friggin basement full of these, as well as Life Magazine and the stuff at the curb represented how much she baled and carried before she ran out of steam! She wanted me to back my car up to her house and TAKE more magazines. So I did. I filled the little Datsun THREE times! I spent at least a year cutting the car ads out. I still have a mess of copier paper size boxes full of 1960s LIFE Magazines. Edited June 7, 2015 by Tom Geiger
vintagedragcrazy Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I saw the most crazy thing last night my me my wife and grandson went for a short ride before going home and I saw this big sign that was painted with a spray can and two guys sitting on lawn chairs in the shade right along the highway and the sign said you honk we drink so I had to do it and as I pasted by I looked in the rear view mirror and they both lifted up a beer and took a drink. Never seen anything like this before but it sure was funny I guess on in pa. Vince
chunkypeanutbutter Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 In some of the donations at Goodwill today, there was a boxed roll of Bill Clinton toilet paper.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 In some of the donations at Goodwill today, there was a boxed roll of Bill Clinton toilet paper. I'd sure pay for that. Hillary, BamaLlama or Pelosi, too. One thing still great about the USA...freedom of speech.
Roadrunner Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I'd sure pay for that. Hillary, BamaLlama or Pelosi, too. One thing still great about the USA...freedom of speech. Yes, let's just hope that too doesn't get wiped away soon.
Agent G Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Yes, let's just hope that too doesn't get wiped away soon. Amen. I was stopped in traffic when I caught sight of something moving between cars that was an emerald green color. As we drove through the intersection I saw that the green blurb was in fact a girls hair! Now I know this town is strange, but the fact she was wearing a T shirt and pair of shorts with matching color stripes was just odd. Circ du Soliel anyone? G
bobthehobbyguy Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Just looked out to ny front yard. On the top was a squirrel straddling the top of the fence trying to beat the heat. Couldn't get a good picture and when I opened the door he hopped off and ran over to a tree.
