Just finished a "fun" build. Started with a AMT "kit in a bag" I bought at a swap meet for $4. It has the molded in driveline and exhaust so I figured I wouldn't spend much time on the underneath. The "Flatty' was a built motor left over from a past project. I wanted to represent a car some guy back in the 50's would build. All available cash was spent on speed parts and none on the chrome and paint.

This was something I wanted to put together just to put my thoughts back in the day when Hot Roding started. Not built for contests, just for me.

Oh I just LOVE projects built from leftovers and/or unloved junk! This came out just FINE and you can be proud of it! Well done and model on! B)

The last thing to do was the windshield but I couldn't decide on how to do it. Full, half, leaned back or straight? Then I decided I liked the look of none at all. Did some research and found out that no windshield was not uncommon in the 50's. So left it off.

Thanks for all the nice comments

I love vintage style builds. This looks great! I've been stockpiling parts to make vintage hot rods out of parts box materials!

Nice job on a vintage look for a vintage price. I've always loved amt '32 Fords. The black hub caps are a cool look also deserves a second look.
