Can-Con Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Started on this one several years ago. The body and fenders have been painted since '08 but just not quite feeling it. Here's what the frame looks like,, I've been thinking about it and I've come to the conclusion that it should be a closed cab truck. I had this old MPC '27 [ish] tall T coupe body kicking around for years so I thought I'd do some cutting this afternoon. Not sure if I'm gonna keep the 1/4 windows yet or fill them in but this is the way I'm gonna go with it. Engine will be a single carb 260 from an old AMT Cobra roadster builtup which I'll clean up and repaint. Hopefully, I can get the new paint on the body to match the dark green paint I put on the box and hood years ago. LOL
gatorincebu Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Looking good thus far! Hopefully you can match the paint and finish this one. Be Well Gator
slusher Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I do like it better with the 27 T cab better. I be watching..
Fabrux Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Looks good, Steve! I'm not feeling those tires, though...
Can-Con Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 Hey guys, I'm not feeling this one right now, it's back in the box again.I started on a fresh build, a Revell '29 pickup rod. I'll start another thread on that later.
kruleworld Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Looks good, the closed cab makes it more interesting and different
