High octane Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Yes Harry, good luck in getting your eye problems fixed and get well soon. I had major eye problems back in 2011 and had to hang up my car keys for 6 1/2 months.
crazyjim Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Hope your eye issue is taken care of soon and without pain. How do I contact this Dave Ambrose guy? I stopped getting email notifications over a week ago.
Harry P. Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 How do I contact this Dave Ambrose guy? I stopped getting email notifications over a week ago. Same way you contact anyone else. Send him a PM.
crazyjim Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I don't know his screen name to be able to look him up in "members".
MrObsessive Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Jim, Dave's handle is his own name. Also, if you take a look at the index of the site, where it lists all of the forums, you'll see that he posted something under "The Community". Hold your cursor over his name, another window will appear, and you'll see where you can PM him. Hope this helps!
Guest Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 How do I contact this Dave Ambrose guy? I stopped getting email notifications over a week ago. Your not the only one having this issue, other members have said the same as well.
Harry P. Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Your not the only one having this issue, other members have said the same as well. It's a problem with Outlook email, not this site. That email server seems to think our notification emails are spam, so that's where they go... the spam folder.
Rob Hall Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I don't use Outlook, and I don't get email notifications any more either. Not in my spam folder either.
crazyjim Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I've never used Outlook and the notices aren't going to my spam folder. I'll try to find this Ambrose guy.
crazyjim Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Found him and sent him a PM. Thanks everybody. Hope Dave will have an easy fix.
Harry P. Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Have you checked your notification settings here? Is the box to allow email notifications checked?
Rob Hall Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) It's a problem with Outlook email, not this site. That email server seems to think our notification emails are spam, so that's where they go... the spam folder. Obviously if this many users are reporting the problem, it's a problem on your end...your outbound mail server isn't relaying messages for some reason, maybe a hard drive full, some other technical issue. Have you had your tech support guy check the outbound email queues? Edited July 12, 2015 by Rob Hall
Harry P. Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Obviously if this many users are reporting the problem, it's a problem on your end... If the problem was on this end, why do most people not have this problem, only a relative handful? If the problem were global on this end, wouldn't everyone be having the same problem?

Harry P. Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Well, I for one am not having that problem. I dunno. I'm not a techie, I don't really know why some are having this problem and not others. But Dave will figure it out.
Guest Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I don't use Outlook, and I don't get email notifications any more either. Not in my spam folder either. My issue is the same as well, no email notifications and I don't use Outlook either.
