disabled modeler Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Looks like a 34 Fordor to me....1/32? My thoughts too...looks like a 4door too...?
mrm Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 It's obviously a four door. But I don't think it is a Ford and I would be surprised if it is 1:24/5. This is most like a military 1:35 Citroen or something like that.
OneTrickPony Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 The body lines all look correct for a 34 Ford but it is missing the hood louvers.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Looks to be the same color plastic as the Gowland and Gowland (later Highway Miniatures) 1/32 kits.
Greg Myers Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 EMKA , yep 1/48th staff car. It caught my eye. Here's more, scroll down aways. https://myp48.wordpress.com/2015/03/14/in-search-of-vehicles/
ZTony8 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Looks like the Soviets copied a '34 Hupmobile or Buick. Edited July 10, 2015 by ZTony8
mike 51 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Yep looks like a Dodge to me....as does the pick-up from your link. If only the military modelers were 1/25th eh? Edited July 10, 2015 by mike 51
ChrisBcritter Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Wikipedia's article on this car (the GAZ-M1) states that it was based on the 1934 Ford sedan through a technology-sharing agreement with Ford, but there were a lot of internal modifications. For this kit, it seems like it could be modified to look like the American version fairly easily (1/48 Bonnie and Clyde diorama, maybe?). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAZ-M1
