High octane Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Nice job on that General James, and of course I just love dem Mopars! What color orange did you use on the body? Thanks.
LouO Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Great work on both cars! Look like they just traveled the back roads of Hazzard County!
JTRACING Posted July 13, 2015 Author Posted July 13, 2015 Nice job on that General James, and of course I just love dem Mopars! What color orange did you use on the body? Thanks. Thanks! I use the duplicolor Hugger Orange code- CBSP207, it's the 1 quart can
Dave Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Roscoe car looks good too, more pics of that one please.
JTRACING Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) This is the 1/25 scale kits, I used the revell '69 charger kit, the one with the vinyl roof Edited July 19, 2015 by JTRACING
Helix Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Very well done on both James, the interior detail is very impressive
Harry P. Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 A person who wants to build an accurate replica of the General Lee will have to include the Confederate battle flag on the roof. It's a model car, people. Not a political statement! If a modeler builds a WWII Stuka bomber with swastika markings, does that mean the builder is a Nazi? Obviously not. Please stop with the insane political correctness nonsense. It's bad enough that our political so-called "leaders" are immersed in this krap. Let's not stoop to their level here.
kalbert Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I don't comment much here anymore... but had to login to post my complements on these. I'll echo what the others have said, the model looks great, the dusty weathering and grubby interior really makes it.

Drake69 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) Haha good for you. This is the 1/25 scale kits, I used the revell '69 charger kit, the one with the vinyl roof Adding to that, if you use the '68 smooth top car with the '69 taillights AND the MPC kit altogether, you won't have to fight smoothing off the vinyl stuff. It's what I did and it worked great! Nice cars BTW! EDIT: Even better, the parts left over from the cross-kitting leaves you with the right parts to build the vinyl topped Bullitt Charger. I still need to do mine. Edited July 14, 2015 by Drake69
freakshow12 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Looks great. The interior is awesome. I agree using the 68 body is a good idea BUT you would need to add the top trim anyway so it's a bit of work either way and you don't have to fill the marker lights on the 68
Badluck 13 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I love the "dirt road" look so real looking...and agree with others would like to see more of the cruiser also.
1930fordpickup Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) This is a well done Model. First rate work with a good eye for weathering. Edited July 14, 2015 by 1930fordpickup
