afx Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Thanks for the decal picture Rex. I don't have one but I was aware of the Cady sheet. I was hoping you might have found something new.
Len Woodruff Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Did anyone do Costilow & Larson DragonSnake that had the custom paint job?
afx Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Did anyone do Costilow & Larson DragonSnake that had the custom paint job?I have never seen decals for the Costilow & Larsen car if that is what you are asking Len.
afx Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) Already turned over the hardtop to HRM. Here is the body I will turn over. Edited September 14, 2015 by afx

cobraman Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Tough for people of size to get into the car at all but with the top I hear it was just about impossible . True ?

Greg Myers Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I had a '58 MGA (close, same group) I'm 6'5" didn't have a problem. In my youth
3men2s Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 That's coming along real great, cant wait to see more!!!
Dave Toups Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Here's a pic I found of the Motion 289 car. You were right, they didn't run a top on it. Check out that crazy scoop! Kind of a half teardrop
Dave Toups Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Here's the Costilow & Larson car with the lettering as it ran back in the 60's I can't find a single photo from back then showing it lettered like it is now. It looks like the top on this is similar to the Motion 427 car. I wish someone would make Dragonsnake decals. Are you listening Steve DeVaux?
Dave Toups Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 A shot of Don McCain's "666" racing "El Cid". It looks like the El Cid has a different top in this photo. No wrap-around window.
afx Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 Thanks for the pictures Dave. As best as I can tell there where/are (3) different style hardtops. The two you show in the picture above plus the wedge shaped window that is on El Cid now.

BDSchindler Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I was over at Harold's (HRM) just this past Saturday and I have to say the Dragonsnake cobra is gorgeous. I saw some mention of the 68 Shelby Mustang from HRM also. it is well done as is all of HRM's items. My personal pick is the FIA Cobra with the "Trunk Bumps"...then there is the Z06 Corvette and the...oh hell...they're all great!

I really like his FIA Cobra too. I wish it was 1/25 scale to fit in better with all my AMT Cobras.
afx Posted October 10, 2015 Author Posted October 10, 2015 Here is the better picture of the trans-kit I promised. Although not shown the 2-ear knock-offs for the wire wheels will be included.
