1tim1 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Nothing special about this one. Just a practice piece. The body was cracked from being stored and thrown around. I thought I had the crack fixed, the crack wasn't visible after I painted it. I took it to my model club meeting one month, it sat in the hot car for a little bit and I'm guessing it made the plastic expand and made the crack show. Painted testors jade green metallic.
christian-w Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Nice color for the car! Love the S2000. Is the crack on the hood (right corner above the headlight)? It looks like a hair lying on the hood. Anyway: you have to know it to see it.

Running jagged all the way up to the passenger fender and down the front bumper cover. Even the lower valence was broke.
hgbben Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 That is a stunning color for that car. Great job.
christian-w Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 And how did you fix the crack? What did you use to close it on the surface? ..... Maybe I'd asked you in my first post ... Sorry.
StevenGuthmiller Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I have to say I love this car.....because I own one! Nice job! Steve

Maybe I'd asked you in my first post ... Sorry. There wasn't a gap so I just used the testors tube glue as the filler and to hold it together. I thought that method would work. Primer coat and color coat was fine, I think when it sat in the hot car for about an hour it caused the plastic to expand or something. Turned out nice Tim, I like the colour Thanks I have to say I love this car.....because I own one! Nice job! Steve Thanks Steve! Nice 1:1 S2000!
slusher Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Very nice model and great color..Worth fixing the crack if you can match the paint..
1tim1 Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Very nice model and great color..Worth fixing the crack if you can match the paint..Thanks. I'll probably just leave as is. I should have enough paint to try to repair the crack. But with my luck I may do more harm than good, lol. nlooks great! Thanks!

christian-w Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Thanks for your answer to my question The crack is hard to see. It depends on the angle. On the first pictures it looks like a hair or just an imperfection in the paint. You fixed it pretty good! @StevenGuthmiller ...
