squirrel886 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 I picked up the kit from my LHS Thursday and spent a few hrs on it Sunday.
squirrel886 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Radiator seems a bit on the thick side.......
squirrel886 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 .......so I shaved a mm off of it.
squirrel886 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Also, use floor part #62, on the left, for either version. Part #13 is for the follow on coupe and does not have the bench seat locators, but has bucket seat locators.
squirrel886 Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 THANKS ADL! I'm also swapping out the rear shock/coil unit w/ a Rat Roaster set.
squirrel886 Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 ........frame ready for paint.
squirrel886 Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 ......moving at a snail's pace since work has been hectic. I modified the front mounts.
squirrel886 Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 And added scrap styrene so they mounted somewhat flush w/o the step.
Bernard Kron Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 This w.i.p. is proving to be the ideal summary of ways to deal with the detail mods the channeled version requires. Looks like it will be a nice machine when your done. I'll definitely follow along as it progresses.
squirrel886 Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Front axle cleaned up minus a few leafs.
Dennis Lacy Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 The front axle looks a lot better stripped and painted. All of the details are way more crisp. That's why on a lot of my models the chrome goes away.
squirrel886 Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 I agree Dennis. The chrome doesn't have the right look to me. That's why alot of my builds have the "chrome" parts stripped and painted.

Nice stuff here Brad! That is so very true guys, I can't even focus very well on chrome parts when I'm working on them because they are just too shiney! Silver paint and some black wash look more realistic I think. Happy Modeling, David S.
squirrel886 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 .......getting closer to having this finished for a change.
Dennis Lacy Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Looking good! What's that shade of blue on the body? Are you gonna leave it flat?
