This is yet another USMC M4 Sherman from Iwo Jima. This one though, is 1/72 scale.

Everything in gray is from the kit. Everything else is scratch built. I used pipe screens from a smoke shop for the hatch covers. Base coated in MM Acryl Olive Drab. Hand painting to come.

I took some DAS air drying clay and rolled it out into a long thin shape. I flattened it slightly the cut off individual sections with a curved Xacto blade.

I positioned them one by one and when I was happy with the layout, I thinned some Elmer's glue with water and brushed it on and around the stack of bags.

Nice work. Have to ask where the term braille scale comes from?

It's a term used by armor modelers when referring to anything in 1/72 scale. The kits are so tiny you have to feel your way.

Here's a little bit more. Almost there now.

Camo is hand painted in MM Acryl colors. I hand lettered the name in Vallejo acrylic. This was a real tank in "B" Co, 4th Tank Battalion.

Jeez man... where do you display all these cool tanks? You must have a ton of them built by now...

Well, I do have a good size house.........
