John Goschke Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Very crisp build! Terrific color combo and the wheel/tire combo adds an aggressive look to the little bugeye.I enjoyed owning the MG version, a '69 Midget, which was less of a roadster, having roll up windows, but was still great fun to drive with the top down on a crisp fall day with my pretty girlfriend in the shotgun seat. However it was during that period that we came up with the acronym "TBSC" (Troublesome British Sports Car) for the Midget and all its similar brethren.
sjordan2 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Nice, clean, classic look. Good color choice. Are the wheels perhaps a bit underscale?
Danno Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Outstanding, Dave! I've always loved those little Bug-Eyes! Fond memories of the SCCA road races at Lake Afton with screaming hordes of Bug-Eyes ripping around the track, darting in and out among themselves in furious battles for first place. ALMOST more fun than the Can-Am cars! (Almost.)Miatatom ~ yours is an example of the wonderful little racers I recall so fondly!
Scott Colmer Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Great build, Dave. You did an outstanding job. That was my first car. Mine had a wankle. Lots of fun till I crashed it. I have another shell on its side in a shed waiting for time and money. Scott
rmvw guy Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I've always loved the bug eyes since I first saw one as a little kid, I can still remember that moment. Nice job on your model.
