Photo posting problems

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but is anyone else having photo problems here? My gallery just shows black screens with X's on them, I get error messages when I try to upload photos into my album or into a post. I can't seem to get a reply from anyone at MCM. I just want to have an album again and be able to put pics in my posts, especially with the contest coming up. Help!

Mike, Sam and I went through this as well. There is another thread on here that Sam started that helped us both. If you are using Photobucket, simply click on the block marked image, then paste on your post. You will not see the photo until it posts, but that fixed our problem. Hope this helps....Brian

I don't use a photo hosting site, I just want to upload photos from my computer into my gallery or a post like I've done for years. I thought about deleting my whole album and starting over, but there's not even an option to delete the album, it'd all have to be done one at a time.

I've even tried a workaround...putting a photo in my gallery on another site and copying and pasting the URL into the "insert other media" window. All I get is the white "insert image from URL" screen and the spinning circle.

Not quite a photo posting problem but I have a question. Has this forum lost its preview feature? When I start a new topic I would like to see what I have done before I actually post it. The same with replies for that matter. But all I get is "Submit Topic" button. So I do just that and edit any mistakes afterwards.

There used to be "More reply option" feature here before and that enabled the preview button. Now I cannot find anything like this here. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm able to put pics into my posts now straight from my computer which is my most important concern. It still doesn't solve my album gallery issues but that's secondary.

That's what I've been doing lately, and my own gallery collection (e.g. this one) from before this glitch now suffers from the same 'black box' fate. Gregg PM'd me a while back to say a future update to the site could remedy this problem.

....Has this forum lost its preview feature? When I start a new topic I would like to see what I have done before I actually post it. ......... Am I doing something wrong?

I'll welcome any correction here, but I do believe that preview feature did vanish. Perhaps it could return with a site update....

If your photo is up on another site, you should be able to do a simple, standard "copy and paste" into the text box here without bothering with the "insert other media"  thingie.

Works for me, anyway.;)

You know i'm having the exact same problem. I'm using Photobucket and all I get is a spinning circle. I have filled my quota on this site. I'm able to still use fotk.i But they want me to pay if I want more. I prefer to use Pb but can't.

I want to keep them all together.

Ken.

NOPE ! NOTHING.  Using Photobucket (have been for years) clicked on bottom right hand  (image) box, says "copied" , go to MCM, attempt "paste" , right click box comes up with NO "paste" selection.

DON'T bother with the "insert other media" box !!!

After you get the "copied" yellow flash on Pbucket, place the cursor in the reply-box on the MCM page where you want the photo to appear.  Use "Ctrl-v" on your keyboard instead of "paste". You should get the image code, and the photo will appear when you "post" or "save".

This works every time for me, since 2012...several different computers, operating systems and browsers.

NOTE: You have to hold down the"Ctrl" key and the "v" key simultaneously.

Works for me....exactly as I outlined in the instructions above. You're getting the wrong image code, somehow. WHAT are you doing, EXACTLY?

Your image code for these pix should be 2 lines. It should start with [URL=http://s524.........

All you do is left-click the IMG box to the immediate right of the photo, and then do Ctrl-v here. Can't be any simpler.

What you're trying to put up is apparently the "direct" or the "e-mail" link code.

Yup. Somehow, you're copying the "Direct" code line rather than the "IMG" code line. Maybe an odd problem with your computer not communicating with PB correctly...??
