cobraman Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Started this a couple days ago. Seems like an OK kit. To me the wheels and tires look under size but maybe when assembled they will look OK. Next is painting the roof and then the wood trim before the decals.
wayne swayze Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Looking forward to this one Ray! Does it come with a dropped axle or lowered suspension?
Ramfins59 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Looking good Ray... nice shade of Blue.
cobraman Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks guys. It does look like a dropped axle but I saw a finished example of this kit and it looked too high. Don't most kits sit too high in front ? : ) I will mock it up and see if I need to adjust the height.
cobraman Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Thanks. It's a GM color. Is that OK ? : )
slusher Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Looking great Ray, i do like the blue color choice. Saw this kit yesterday at HL.
cobraman Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Here is where I am with this build. Next step will be to clear coat the body. Kind of like the way there is an entire inner body . Don't know that I have seen that before.
cobraman Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Thanks men. Clear came out pretty good. Should be able to wrap this up in a couple more days.
vintagedragcrazy Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Wow that's nice I saw it on Saturday and it looked so nice one followed me home along with two 29 fords and three other kits .vince
slusher Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Awesome work Ray, real nice looking wood. What did you use??
Roadrunner Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 That blue looks great on that vehicle. I like the wood so far too.
cobraman Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 Thanks guys. Car is done and can be found in the "Under Glass " section. Carl the wood was done with Testors bottle "wood" and then covered with Tamiya clear orange and then clear coated.
