tim boyd Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 We announced the 2015 NNL Nats Cult Theme, "Traditional Hot Rods", here on the MCM Forum a few weeks back. We really didn't know what to expect. Within 90 minutes of the doors opening, we had two full tables jammed with Traditional Hot Rod models, ultimately reaching a count of about 95 models! Here is a link to 70 images of models from this display, the largest-ever NNL Cult Theme event at an NNL Nationals. Use the "Roll" feature to look at all the images which are also identified with the Builder's name, such as this extreme chopped '34 Pickup with opening doors by Jim Casassa of Indiana. Thanks to all who participated!!! Cheers...TIM
JTalmage Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Great photos Tim. The flat metallic paint on my '36 really shows well with a professional camera/lense
Jantrix Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Within 90 minutes of the doors opening, we had two full tables jammed with Traditional Hot Rod models, ultimately reaching a count of about 95 models! Not really surprised to hear that. Traditional hot rods have been making a comeback pretty much across the board on the world of hot rodding. And Revells releases for the past decade have followed that trend. It's great to see. Thanks for the pics Tim.
Lunajammer Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Thanks for the pics Tim. Certainly gets the brain gears grinding away. Lots of inspiration.
Bernard Kron Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Great to see a big turnout for this subject, and so many names I associate with mastering this particular idiom, plus many more great builders who have, up to now, been unknown to me. Wish I coulda participated, so thanx a ton for the great photo summary. Lotsa beautiful builds, for sure!
flat-top Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Very nice pictures Tim, Thanks for sharing them.
tim boyd Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 Guys...thanks for the "thanks". Yeah,,,,I was pretty buzzed at the turnout for the Cult Theme. I had hoped for maybe 20-30 models at most...and we ended up just under 100! Glad you enjoyed the pix....Cheers...TIM
