Porscheman Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 This the excellent resin transkit by Missing Link, that uses Revell's 72 442 convertible as a donor kit. I painted this one in Dupli-color Dark Toreador Red and 4 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear and the was finished in Tamiya's Semi Gloss Black. I tinted the glass with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. I added AMT's RWL tires from a parts pack. Thanks for looking. Al
Crusader101 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Beautiful build, very well done.I'm going to have to add this transkit to my shopping list!
StevenGuthmiller Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Very nice Al!I think, if it were mine, I'd change out the tires. They look kind of "balloonish".Something a little lower profile might look a little more "natural".JMO.Looks great!! Steve
66belair Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I've got two of those trans kits. Yours turned out great. How well does it fit the chassis?
Porscheman Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 I've got two of those trans kits. Yours turned out great. How well does it fit the chassis? The fit is excellent. I did file the kits hood a little to get it to fit better. I used the windshield from the 70 Monte Carlo, but there's got to be a better alternative,
Porscheman Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 Once again, Thank you. This IMO is a must have for Cutlass 442 or Oldsmobile lovers. This is a great transkit for getting your feet wet in the world of resin.Highly Recommended!!!Al
JTalmage Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Whoa, the hardtop looks way better than the convertible. Very nice looking. Now thats a muscle car
