ERIK88 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) I have a monogram Aerodyne conventional snap kit from the 1980s , it was part of a collection i bought. I had initially put this up for trade, however due to no replies. i decided to build it! It was a really great kit, the rig was painted createx pearl blue, followed by a nice smooth clearcoat. The hardest part of this kit was placing the decals on the side of the body. Nonetheless. it was a fun, and exciting build! I ended up buying a few more trucks since then!. I will prob strip all the chrome on my next trucks, and spray alclad. Edited October 31, 2015 by ERIK88 1

ERIK88 Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Thanks guy so! I'm glad you guys liked it. I want to learn how to make a custom truck with oversized stacks, stretched frame, cool fenders, and huge front bumper. This is one of more to come!
towman1271 Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Nice job making the snap kit look good! Do a search on the stuff you want to learn,, It's amazing what some of these guys can do with detailing.. I know I've learned a ton.. Hope to see more from you!
Jim B Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Nice job on the W900. I like these little snap kits. Too bad the wheels & tires are so bad.
kilrathy10 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Nice work on this little guy, Man....I remember this one when I was just a kid....I used to love building and playing with these old Monograms....These were my first truck kits.....Loved them....Built them right out of the box with no paint and had a ball, afterwards.....Nice work.... ERIK88 Posted November 2, 2015 Author Posted November 2, 2015 Thanks for the comments, Jane your right Jim b the tires could be better. They are only plastic, however they look pretty realistic from a distance. They could have been better if they were individual rubber tires. I still like these kits. Glad to had brought back some memories kilrathy ?
