69NovaYenko Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Are there 426 Hemi valve covers with this style of vintage breathers (dual or single) available. If so who has them. Edited November 2, 2015 by 69NovaYenko
Muncie Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 several resin casters repop the old 1/25 scale Johan 426 M/T finned valve covers with the logo. The Monogram McEwen rear engine dragster that was recently reissued (yeah!) has a pair of the large single valve cover breathers like the top photo - except with an EP - Ed Pink - logo.
Sledsel Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 If you just want the breathers, they should be easy to make out of styrene.

gtx6970 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 the Borsch altered has some breathers that are very close to those,,but the valve covers in it are for a 392 Hemi , not a 426

disabled modeler Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) Id like to find 2 real breathers from the second photo ones with a 90 degree mounting angle. Edited November 5, 2015 by disabled modeler
Muncie Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I've seen them elsewhere but I also order from Speed City Resin. He keeps an inventory on hand instead of casting on order - good parts and you get them in days. Speed City has both the 426 and 392 valve covers in your pictures with dual breathers. Might be a few other things that you want there as well.http://www.speedcityresin.com/PartsPageEngine.html
426-Hemi Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 (edited) Those "dual" valve covers are 392 Hemi valve covers. MOST those come with the breather on the chrome tree, you just have to look close! The 426 Hemi valve covers, well those are another story, as the K/B is for Keith Black, I do not think he's given permission for them to be produced for scale models! You'd be better off looking for kits with the smooth plain ones like those on the '41 Willy's cars, and adding them to the 426 Hemi valve covers, and add a Mopar "M" to them out of the decal sheet for the '67 Dodge Charger under the Foose design kit from Revell! (Seat marking decal) is a Mopar "M" like this:(M)(M)(M)(M)(M)Just cut off the "(" ")" brackets, and use the "M" I did on my dream truck build from the 1990's placed on the aluminum intake! -I THINK it fit, I'm not sure, I haven't checked that with either of the 2 kits!-Just a thought!
