Clay Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Well I learned that a #11 Xacto blade and riding in the back of a van does not mix, I was cutting the door handles off of the 67 chevelle I got the other day and....... Scroll Down
george 53 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Clay, thats not your trigger finger is it! Ill recomend you for a purple! injured in action!" A man can do no more than give his blood for His hobby!"
Clay Posted March 19, 2008 Author Posted March 19, 2008 Clay, thats not your trigger finger is it! Ill recomend you for a purple! injured in action!" A man can do no more than give his blood for His hobby!" No its my thumb. Makes it very hard to peelm the BMF off its backing.
george 53 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Well, either way, too bad about the injury, hope it heals quickly. But that is true dedication, I mean workin on a kit in the back of a van, Was it during manuvours? (sorry I couldnt help it,again)
marinewifejones Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 he is just lucky he didnt get any blood on my seats
george 53 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 HHHAAAAA,spoken like a true MARINE wife, outstanding! But please no domestic violence, as we NEED men like Clay!
marinewifejones Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I wouldnt have been violent i just would have pulled into walmart and grabbed a bottle of peroxide and made him get the blood out. I did how ever pull into a parkinglot and had him run into subway to wash the cut and grab more papertowels and fortunatly we were on our way to my moms work to have lunch with her and she had some bandaids. But the biggets thing is he was lucky that it was a brand new blade and not and older rusty one that would have caused us to go spend time in an ER or urgent care center (for a second time that weekend) to get a tetnis shot
Harry P. Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 But the real question is... What in the world are you doing trying to trim the door handles off a model car body in a moving van???
george 53 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 WOT? just suck the impureities out grab a rag an some duct tape and he's good to go,he IS a MARINE you know. But ,even if you are a Marine wife ,your still a wife, protecting your investment in the relationship, and your babies daddy, outstanding work, quick thinking, Well done! Semper FI, carry on!
george 53 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Harry, Harry,Harry, Hes a true model car freak. Ive grokked many a kit in the car, but havent actually tried to build one yet.Maybe I'M not freaky enuff!( my wife would argue that,But, thats another story)!
Clay Posted March 19, 2008 Author Posted March 19, 2008 WOT? just suck the impureities out grab a rag an some duct tape and he's good to go,he IS a MARINE you know. But ,even if you are a Marine wife ,your still a wife, protecting your investment in the relationship, and your babies daddy, outstanding work, quick thinking, Well done! Semper FI, carry on! I wanted tape but she said her mom had bandaids. And Harry I was bored and that model was staring at me.
Harry P. Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I wanted tape but she said her mom had bandaids. And Harry I was bored and that model was staring at me. Since you're in the Marines right now, you're too young to remember this, but years ago Saturday Night Live did one of their fake commercials. The real commercial showed a jeweler cutting a diamond in the back seat of a moving Lincoln or Mercury (to show how smooth the ride was). The SNL version was of a Rabbi doing a circumcision in the back seat of a moving car. Hilarious. Your story reminded me of that.
george 53 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 What I tell you,Your a true freak! know you can say youve got yer blood into this kit an MEANit!
OLDERGUY Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Must say I've had similar encounters with thoses blades, but not in the back of a van!!
Raul_Perez Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Now that's what I call dedication to the hobby!! It's probably a good thing that he did cut himself before he got too far along. Just imagine what she'd have done to him if he'd have kept going and broken out that new can of Testors spray lacquer in her van! We'd have had a national emergency on our hands! You guys are too funny!
curt raitz Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I'm impressed...I think those #11's scare the bejesus out of me just sittin on the workbench...let alone in a moving vehicle the real question is - how does an exacto knife get into a vehicle???
Clay Posted March 19, 2008 Author Posted March 19, 2008 I bought the thing that comes with alot of blades and a place to dispose of the used blades.
LVZ2881 Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Am I a freak if I've wet sanded a primer coat while in the shower??? I was just trying to multi-task, but the wife still gave me a funny look when she stuck her head in and saw me doing this...

Scroll Down Nice even cut. Shows a lot of skill, But not a heck of a lot of sense Good thing that God made some women who would marry Marines, otherwise the Gunny would have had to handle it.
Nick F40 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I wanted tape but she said her mom had bandaids. And Harry I was bored and that model was staring at me. haha Am I a freak if I've wet sanded a primer coat while in the shower??? I was just trying to multi-task, but the wife still gave me a funny look when she stuck her head in and saw me doing this... you act like that's normal!! You are wrong! you guys and girls are too much! nice even cut though.

marinewifejones Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Raul, Spray paint would have gotten him kicked out of the van and he would have had to figure out how to get back to my parents house in a town that he doesnt know his way around. LVZ2881, please do not give Clay any ideas. m408, Im not sure if i should take that as a compliment or an insult. But my dad is a car freak so i am used to strange goings on that the average joe would never even think of doing and to who ever mentioned the duct tape, surprisingly I do not have any in my van but if you ever need to change a tire I carry a portable impact wrench in the van.
