Chuck Most Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Basically, this is an old Frank Gortsema transkit, combined with an incomplete '90's AMT Diamond Reo reissue, and several dips into the parts box. It is loosely based on a real one owned by a local salvage yard. It might stand a little touch up in spots, and I'd like to locate (or make) some grease caps for the front wheel centers, but it looks halfway decent on the shelf as-is, all the same.
gatorincebu Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Chuck , That looks pretty dang good! And I think a gravel bucket would look good behind it.Those trucks are one of my all time favorites. Though I haven't built any yet. I am going have to get a couple of those cabs. Be Well Gator
Superpeterbilt Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Nice build.I like the set-up. Its got a little model truck history built into it, being that its an old Gortsema cab. I think it would great pulling a lowboy, as well as the michigan dumps. It reminds me of an old green Autocar I used to see around here. Great job.
slusher Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Great build Chuck. You build some very cool semis...
